"I am VERY THANKFUL for Find A Grave's assistance in clearing up some recent matters. They were very helpful and quick to respond to my issues."- Oct 2014
I AM ACTIVELY WORKING ON THE MEMORIALS I HAVE ADDED... I have lots of obituaries, photos and other information and I am adding it as time permits.
I enjoy doing my own research and photographing. I am adding photos to my memorials in Glacier Memorial and several other local cemeteries. Please note that in Glacier Memorial Gardens only, the names were added from burial records, the only date given was burial so until I work through the list you may find this is an issue. If you are looking for someone with the same name but the year is different or there are no dates listed, please check with me before creating a new memorial. Burial can sometimes take place years after a death. Cemetery records may contain spelling errors so please keep that in mind when searching for a name.
If you are family and would like to see more information added to a memorial before I get to it just let me know and I will make it a priority.
Note: Concerning Edits - I do not like the edit tabs so I do not check them daily, that said, please keep the following in mind. ~ If I find an edit is something simple and requires no further research I will Aprove it. ~ If I find it says “No change”, I will choose Decline with the explanation “No change. This memorial is up to date with submitted edit”. (Often when I check for Edits I find they say “No change”. This happens a lot because I am constantly working on these memorials and I had already added the information before seeing your edit request. ~ If accepting your edit will erase other information that I have already added I will choose Decline with the explanation “This edit will remove accurate data”. I do it that way to clear it out of the edits and not have to re-enter the other information I had already entered. ~ If it is more complex and requires further research, please be patient. (There have been a lot of Edits submitted that contained errors so I try to verify before I approve it)
Please review the rules and keep in mind - ~ You may not create a memorial for a person who is still living. You can however create a 'pre-need' memorial for yourself if you would like, provided that you have a pre-need headstone already in place in a cemetery. A surviving spouse’s name and birth date are commonly added when a memorial stone is purchased, please do not add these names unless there is other evidence of their death. ~ You may not add photographs of people from published obituaries unless you have the permission of the family to do so. ~ You may not copy and paste an obituary unless you have permission of the newspaper to do so and then you should include the source. ~ You may not add information as a photograph. (Obituaries, draft registrations, census info, etc.) . ~ One flower per memorial per day. ~ Sometimes what appears to be a woman's middle initial is actually the first letter of her maiden name.
I believe in yielding to previously created memorials
