Eleanor Ketcham Ayers Shurtliff (20336702) was my great great grandmother. I wonder if you would transfer jurisdiction of her memoral to me?
|Jeff G.||William Taylor Wright|
Hi. With the flowers you left for William Taylor Wright (13928102), you mention that he died in 1937. This is incorrect. The Idaho Death Index indicates that he died on 26 Dec 1930. I have copied and pasted it below, that you may see it. You may wish to amend your offering. Just thought you'd like to know.

Oh, my! Serendipity and Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness at work! I will have to ask the real expert on this family if Mary was Thomas' sister, but it does seem very likely. The family originally was from New York but moved west in stages, as so many did. Thomas' brother William was married in Morrow, Knox Co. OH in 1847. The 2 youngest sons (Thomas and John) came to Iowa first, as I recall, followed by the other 2 brothers and the parents. All but brother William settled near each other on the border of Jasper and Marion Counties in Iowa; he settled closer to the Mississippi.

Thank you for adding the obituary to Thomas's memorial. It is the best one I have seen! Thomas was the first husband of my great-grand-aunt Harriet Carder Livingston. After his tragic death, when their youngest was a year old, she eventually married again, but Thomas was the father of all 7 of her children.

Could not find Joseph and Mary Barckley Cheeseman at Mingo. Glad you could
Thank you so much

No problem!! I am in the process of photographing the entire cemetery, there are supposed to be around 11,000 burials. There may be other Bretts buried where he is and I just haven't gotten to those photos yet. I'll be more than happy to let you know if I find more and transfer them if you would like.

I can't thank you enough for all of the information you provided to our family. It is both fascinating and comforting to have the facts. Keep up the good work, it has real meaning.
