I've been doing genealogy for over 28 years (for myself and assisting others) and love doing so. I enjoy going out and gathering information and taking pictures at the local cemetery...pictures and information that I hope will benefit others in finding their ancestors. I hope my efforts will benefit those looking for their next of kin. If you are related to any of the folks I've posted information on and would like to have the site transferred, I'd be most happy to do so. Or add, or make any changes you would like made. Present project: Documenting all of the vets at the Denver Riverside Pioneer Cemetery and Documenting the headstones and occupants of Block 12 at the Denver Riverside Pioneer Cemetery. Much of what I have documented so far can be viewed at my website: www.block12riverside.com|
If you have a picture and/or story to share about any of my Block 12 or Riverside Veteran individuals, please feel free to send them my way. I will add your information 'as is' to my website and to any of the postings I have made to Find A Grave. I believe memories should be shared, as after 3 generations, the individuals will be forgotten without those stories to tell.
Again, if you are related to any of these individuals and would like for me to transfer the site to you, I am most happy to do so. The 'counts' don't matter to me. What is important to me is being of service to you in assisting in finding those elusive ancestors and kin folk when all else seems not to exist in finding them. Ergo, I go with camera in hand ....

|Dennis Quiring||RE: Dietrich D Gosen #34144558|
By the way Dietrich was my second cousin twice removed. If you are willing I'd accept transfer of administration of his memorial. Thanks again for taking care of Block 12.

I'd really like to know what Diet died of. Was he on a business trip, perhaps he went to Denver to consult for his health? I guess his family couldn't afford to ship his body back. But, then why the expensive bronze marker. Was he the victim of foul play perhaps robbed and murdered?
His son Jacob D. had 12 children. 7 sons of which 6 served in the Army or Navy in WWII. Jacob's youngest son Lawrence graduated from the US Naval Academy and served as a Naval aviator in Vietnam. He died while taking off the USS Ticonderoga on his way to a rescue mission.
Jacob's family all excelled in academics and in service to home and country. That makes Dietrich death and burial far from home all the more curious.

Hi Vickie ~
I'm sorry. I have no more information for Elizabeth. The reason I listed her is because she was a Bogard...the same as myself. Ed ~

Hi, Thank you for adding the obituary. I found it on Heer Mortuary, Brush, Colorado's website. I'll pass on maintaining the memorial at this time since I think most of the info for him is there and maybe someone who is closely related to him will want the maintenance for him.
Thanks again for updating his memorial.

I am not related - I was researching the Benzel family for a member of the Benzel family that lives in Washington. I specifically have researched the Germans from Russia from Kolb Village, where my grandparents came from, same village as the Benzels.
A transfer is not necessary.

|Freida Wells||William Puckett|
William Silas Puckett was my great-uncle. He is the one that is buried in Denver Colorado in a unmarked grave. I don't know much about him. He never married and worked on ranches. I am sending you a link to my family tree online for him. Use what you want for a story. you will find a letter he wrote to my grandfather in his file. The one you are working on and my William are one in the same person.

Sorry, but I don't believe that I have any information on him. My husband is a Duttweiler from Erie County, New York (through his great-grandmother). I will check the paperwork I have, just in case there is something.

|Pauline DiSipio||RE: Swan Olin FAG #138655202|
Swan Olin was married to Ida Wilhelmina Hellund, who married John Charlson. Among the children born to Ida and John was Alice Victoria Charlson who married a man surnamed "Brothers". Among their children is Marcia Brothers who married a man surnamed Christianson. Marcia and my sister Connie DiSipio (Williams) graduated in 1956 @ Central High School in Pueblo, Colorado. My sister Connie passed away in 2007. Marcia and I email each other once in awhile, and I can share her email address with you. Please email me:
I think I need your and Marcia's help in making sure I have the maiden names of Alice Victoria Charlson and her siblings correct. I have four sisters who passed away ... Alice in 1997, Mabel Katherine Charlson Delpapa in 1990, Hilda Christina Charlson Giordano in in 2004, and Edith Margaret Charlson Ivey in 1988.
Id Ida was married to Swan Olin, did they have children together? Please help!
I have gleaned much info from my PaulineAnnetteDiSipio TREE in ancestry.com.
