Although I've been an active & avid genealogist for almost 35 years, findagrave has opened many new doors. A TX transplant from native McLean Co IL, my ancestry is Amish-Mennonite on one side (Troyer-Stuckey) & English-Scotch-Irish (Selders-Ross)on the other. My husband's family has deep and strong roots in the Republic of Texas and early TX statehood (Hollingsworth-Ferguson-Farris-Medford).|

Hi Margo: Not sure who you are talking about, as Dee Hollingsworth had a brother I believe named Jim . Can you give me more info and I will try to help you get in touch with your relative.
Best regards, Madeline (Maddy) Hawley Alexander
P.S. Sorry we did not meet at the Rochester Homecoming this past Oct. I was there.

SAC is Send a Correction. Click the Edit tab in the upper right corner of a memorial and it will take you to a new screen with several links. Click the first one and submit your correction. Thanks, Cheri

Dear Margo, Sorry if I caused any problems!! I didn't mean to. I actually have about ten guys in the 86th who have two tombstones in two different cemeteries. They have the same name with the same dates in most cases. Usually it's because they were married and purchased a stone and then their first wife died. They remarried and moved and lived many years somewhere else and when they died, they chose to be buried with their second, thus two stones. The next most common thing is, I believe what they call a cenotaph, the family buys a stone and places it in a cemetery as a memorial to a family member buried somewhere else. I have known about John B. Selders marker in the old City Cemetery in Bloomington since the 1980's. I had never figured out which stone he is buried under, nor why he has two stones. I just got excited FOR YOU when I saw that there was a John Wesley Selders buried in another area of Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, at least according to the records available on the internet. I take it from your email that there is no other John Selders buried in either the City Cemetery or in the Old City Cemetery. Again, I am sorry if I caused any problems. Baxter

Hi Margo: I would be happy to transfer James & Alice Hollingsworth to you, as soon as I figure out how to do that. I have always had others transfer sites to me, this is my 1st request for me to transfer. Give me some time to do that.
So great to met you and know you and your husband care so much.

Thanks for posting the pictures for Claude and Clarence on their webpages. I created a page for Alvin Farris, but he does not have a headstone.
I will talk to you soon.
