Each time we embrace a memory....
We meet again with those we love*

The Story Tellers

We are the chosen. In each family, there is one who seems called to find the ancestors. To put flesh on their bones and make them live again, to tell the family story and to feel that somehow they know and approve. Doing genealogy is not a cold gathering of facts, but instead, breathing life into all who have gone before. We are the storytellers of the tribe.
(author unknown ) I love running to cemeteries close by and searching for those I've never been to. I've had many adventures from getting chased by large dive-bombing mosquitoes out in the middle of nowhere to discovering many old buried graves and working carefully to bring them back to their rightful place.

I have a Virtual Cemetery for "Military". It contains as many local and family members as I remember to add. This may be of interest to those dedicated to covering our history.

I have a photo of the marker for Earl Gordy's wife Willie. If you'll make a normal request, I'll post it promptly.

If you could transcribe the stone it would be helpful - it's really dark. Thank you so much. JMartin

Hi, Thank you for the headstone photo for
Mary Berger Fenstermaker

I have to wonder if it is the correct person though, because the headstone appears to have the Year: 1857 on it and this lady wasn't born until 1891. Could you double check it for me. Thanks, JMartin

RE: gearhart, susie
Thank you for getting Susie's grave photo and adding it to the Memorial. Between that and her death certificate, we now have a handle on her elusive birthdate.

I was really excited to see the photograph you had taken of Frank Hamilton's tombstone, because it was shared by his wife, Iva. A two for one bonus, if you will. Thank you for doing this for me.

RE: Canfield Village Cem.
Dianne - To my knowledge, those Orr are not related at least closely - i think they came over earlier than my Orr line which didn't come over until 1820.

Thanks for the thought!
