To change information click on the "EDIT" tab at the top right of the memorial - this is the ONLY way I'll process that information. Obit info can go into the last section.

DUPLICATES happen. Let me know in the "other comments" section of the "Suggest a Correction" section and include the number of the original memorial. Any by a previous contributor only FAG can delete (I can't). They might not get deleted right away, or might become merged by FAG.

Please be as specific as you can in stating relationships. My decision, on a case-by-case basis. I do not exactly adhere to FAG guidelines, as so many memorials were transferred to me, I'm just happy when someone with a closer relation takes custody of someone unknown to me.

FIRST (KNOWN BURIAL) CREATED IS THE ORIGINAL- even if "yours" has more information or you knew the individual. If the number is lower, that's the "first", in case the dates are identical. Additional information and any photos can be merged into the original. In regard to duplicates, any memorial with a correct KNOWN BURIAL LOCATION (cemetery) will always be preferred over an UNKNOWN (no cemetery) location. Thanks to Stone Finders" for this clarification. That contributor's page has a lot of good information.

OBITUARY: please credit the source. Don't post an actual obituary text from a newspaper photo. I will edit out survivors unless it is made prior to 1932.

MY OTHER FAMILY PORTRAIT PHOTOS: Please obtain my permission before copying and posting these anywhere. I'd like to know where they go and who uses them. Thank you!
I work on photographing and updating cemeteries in Pottawatomie and in Riley County, Kansas, when I'm not employed. I am a member of the Riley County Genealogical Society.

RE: Lena Hines
Okay thanks I will research her and see if I can find something out about her. Most of the Sunset Hines are my family. I am not sure about the Himes though it would not surprise me if they were not either. Thanks

Hmm I thought I had each of them. I will have to go back and get them. I re-posted Catherine's pic, it is a little crooked in the ground anyway and the stone underneath it is going a diff way than her stone is.

I have Catherine's picture for you, some confusion because it's section 11 and not section 2(II). I will upload when I get chance. Thanks!

Stone Finders
On that you are wrong.

In the FAQ's
In regard to duplicates, a memorial with a correct known burial location will always be preferred over an unknown burial location.

So burial unknown will be removed if it is moved after some one added to this right cemetery first. It does not matter if yous was added 5 years earlier.
