Bio and Links
Bio Photo John James Armstrong was born in Amarillo, Potter County, TX, the son of David Clinton and Anna Marie (Goranson) Armstrong. He was reared on the family farm out from Panhandle, Carson County, TX. John graduated from Panhandle High School and The University of Texas at Austin with a BS degree in Pharmacy. He resided in MD and AL as a pharmacist for the U.S. Public Health Service. He resigned his commission and returned to Greenville, TX, where for a year he pursued a MS degree in computer science becoming a graduate school dropout. He continued his pharmacist career with McGaughey, Revco, Eckerd, and Super 1 Foods & Discount Pharmacy

His genealogy interest was inspired by an aunt, Gladys Mae Armstrong (1900-1991), in the late 1970's. From there the interest has grown more into assisting others in their research where he can rather than doing research on his family. His particular interest is in newspaper indexation as shown in a way with the Website address. The photo is from a few years back... To God be the Glory, Great Things He Has Done!
