Retired teacher, moved from Maine to Kentucky to enjoy the milder winters Now heavily interested in history and genealogy of the Boyle county area since I have a cemetery nearly in my back yard (May #1, Boyle County). |
Also president of the Boyle County Gen. and Hist. Soc., Inc, the Oakland (Maine) Area Hist. Soc., the Danville Boyle County (KY) Af-Am Hist. Soc., the Central Kentucky Af-Am Cem. Ass'n, member of the Af-Am Genealogy Group of Kentucky, and the Kentucky Historical Society,
Not having ANY relatives anywhere around here, I simply believe all people should be memorialized.
Additions to any memorials I have posted will be reviewed and cheerfully accepted unless I have solid reasons for not doing so. I will NOT post obituaries of RECENT deaths out of respect, nor will I post names of living relatives, out of privacy.
I WILL add information from obituaries, death certificates, newspaper articles, etc., as I believe these all add to the memorial.
Questions will be answered but please have messaging turned on. It does no good to ask me a question if I can't reply.
Transfers are also willing made, preferably to relatives, but not necessarily. YOU may have more time and info than I have. But PLEASE, give me the MEMORIAL NUMBER, so I don't have to waste my time figuring out where the person is buried, as I'm adding names to at least 40 different cemeteries in both Maine and Kentucky.

Hi Mike, Thank you for all the hard work you are doing for all of us amateur genealogists. Re Memorial 22499401 Rando Brown Glenwood Cemetery. I believe LIzzie Brown #18582098 (same cemetery) to be his wife and not a sibling. Refer to the gravestone. Would you please make that correction? Thank you in advance. Thanks for your prompt attention to my edit yesterday, appreciate it.
Should have said "I LIVE in TX"

Mike, looks like you have 2 memorials for Timothy S as I have been linking his children to he and his wife, Carolyn Elizabeth Bell Routon. Thanks for all this work--I like in TX and these relatives are a bit far for me to photograph. Timothy S is the brother to my Walter Anderson Routon, both born in KY. Walter moved to TX and then Oklahoma Indian Territory and Walter is my great grandfather on my father's side. Thanks again.

Do you know where in the Parksville Cemetery the grave of William Lane (Bill) Stevens is located?
I'd like to visit and don't want to spend all day looking; never been there before.

I would like to use the photo of Ruby Lee Hubble in the next edition of the History of the Hubbell Family

# 83668095 Thank you for posting the headstone on this memorial! For some reason, it posted upside down. Could you please correct it?
|Elisha Bourne||RE: GPS, Soaper Cem|
Corrected the GPS. If you go from Danville to Lancaster, it is on Bettis Lane about 1-1/2 miles out of Lancaster on Hwy 52
|Merrylyn Sawyer||thank you for your reply.|
Esther Delling was born Jul 1830 according to the 1900 census when she was Nahum Chick's wife.
