I happened upon findagrave.com while researching my genealogy and have found a lot of information. The efforts of all the volunteers who have set up memorial pages and taken photos of each cemetery, grave site, etc. is greatly appreciated; thank you. I have had some of the memorials transferred to me so that I can upload photos and information which can then be shared with other family members. My plan is to request transfer of memorials of other ancestors as long as there isn't a family member already managing them; hoping to link all of our relatives. If I am managing a memorial that you would prefer to manage, let me know and I will transfer the memorial to you. The surnames that I am starting to research are: ASAY, TUCKER, BURT/BURTT, BIRDASELL, PETERS, BREKKE, and THRONSON.|

|Robyn Pauley||RE: Alice A Tucker and Walter S Tucker|
That is an amazing coincidence, Cindy. I am so glad to hear from you. I am waiting patiently and hope you come up with some wonderful info.
Thank you very, very much,
Robyn Lynn Burns Pauley
I saw your write up about Elizabeth Swallow née Peters and have info from a clip of her obit that will help.
Bloomington Weekly Pantagraph - Feb 5 1904
Mrs. Elizabeth Swallow Tucker, her demise being due to the infirmities incident to old age. Deceased was 80 years old and came to Normal some time ago to make her home with her daughter, living previously in Dry Grove township. Besides Mrs. Sill, she is survived by two children Wesley Tucker, residing In Wisconsin and John Swallow, who lives in Kansas.
|Robyn Pauley||Alice A Tucker and Walter S Tucker|
My great grandmother, Alice Amanda Hoagland Wimer McFall Hixon Butler Tucker, was married at least 6 times that I know of. Her last husband was Walter S Tucker and they lived in Redding, Shasta County, CA for many years. Both birthdate and date of death are unknown on your Find A Grave posts for Grandview Cemetery. I am wondering if these are my great grandmother and her last husband. They are listed in the City listings as living in the Shasta Lodge in Redding. I don't know if they owned and operated it or that was just simply their residence.
I do have their birth dates and dates of death if you need them. I haven't found death certificates for them yet. I checked online Shasta County Vital Records, but they do not show Alice Tucker having died in Redding Feb 20, 1955. I am assuming that Walter had her transferred to the Grandview Cemetary Mausoleum and he is there too after having died in 1961?
Your listing says they are in the West Mausoleum. I know the Tucker family lived in the Los Angeles area for decades and had a family business called Tucker and Sons...Blacksmiths and Horseshoers. They were from Texas originally. After Alice died, Walter S went back to Los Angeles, so it would make since that they are both buried there.
I hope it is OK to ask these questions of you, since you mentioned that you are researching Tucker's.

There was a website link typed into the note
sections of these three memorials, If you look
at them you will see. You are they only one who
added anything (flower) to the memorial so I just
assumed it was you. Tony is does mass spreadsheets
so he doesn't put any details. Hopefully
he will take them out with your request. He doesn't mind doing edits but not specific request
stuff where he has to handle it personally. Great guy but just too many for him to keep up with,
Thanks for your response, Good Hunting, IF you want to use any of my photos in your trees please feel free
Also do the same with her parents that you are linking with her

I have posted the photo on her memorial 30483679
on Find a grave which I believe you had Mr Larson
post a link to my copyrighted photo. Please have the link removed since the actual photo has been placed on the memorial. Find A Grave guidelines suggest if you want the a photo posted you submit a request that volunteers can fulfill by taking the photo or volunteers like myself can submit photos that they already have taken.

Would you like me to transfer those two memorials, and any other ones? I am surveying Elm Grove and adding info on Find A Grave....no relation so always happy to transfer.

Sorry about the location mistake

Yes, you are correct according to my records. Much of the information about the family history came from Helen Asay Cubberly (Illinois--deceased). The information was compiled by John C. Houston, January 23, 1948 in Lovell, Illinois. Other information was added by Rebecca Asay Sterling, summer of 2000, Atlanta, Georgia. A lot of the information before coming to America is of oral documentation. It has been put into poem form. Glad to meet you.
-Kind regards, Gord.

Hello I am an Asay relative. My grandfather was William's son, Charles Ray . His daughter Avis Jean was my mom. I have a very well done book of the family tree back to France.
