Emmett/Emmert Just some notes for the Emmett/Emmert photos from Floyd Cemetery in Sioux City: I will be retaking Godfried's photo, so a more readable one is coming. I've submitted name corrections for Pauline and Godfried's to Emmert; and Harry Emmett did not have a stone with the family. Sheri Ross
RE: Atkins Brown Rich Thank you - Atkins is an ongoing research project for me. I'm descended from his oldest sister Polly. Her house is still owned by her gg-grandson and gg-granddaughter. Photos and a family record of Atkins are still in the home/family. Will keep you posted as I find more info about him.
Julia Biedermann/ Baltimore Cemetery Maximillian and Pauline Biedermann had 7 children that I know of. Lillian Helen or Lillie Helene was born Dec 27, 1891 and died on Feb 6, 1989. She is the youngest child of Maximilian and Pauline. She worked as a bookkeeper. Her sister Julia was born on Feb 10, 1888 and died on Feb 14, 1962. Julia fell or somehow broke her leg and was crippled for the rest of her life due to the limited medical knowledge of her era. She lived her life in the care of Lillian. Neither woman married.
Nicholas Cemetery I saw your comment about your ancestors living here. I think my residence is located on what was property belonging to the Nicholas Family. I would like to know more about this family that is buried at the top of the mountain behind my home.
Nicholas Cemetery I visited this Cemetery today. It is at the top of the mountain behind our new residence. I took pictures of the marked graves and posted them to Find-A-Grave. Please feel free to contact me. I would love to know more about the people buried there. I think at one time they lived nearby.(email@example.com)
