My parents and grandparents are buried at Pioneer's Rest Cemetery in Ft Worth, TX. I am active in doing some volunteer work there to keep the grounds up. It is amazing how much growth there is to keep under control. There is LOTS more to do than just mowing and edging!

My Father was born and raised across the street from the cemetery. He told me he and his brothers played in the cemetery as kids. The house still stands and you can easily see it from his grave. That's pretty unusual to say the least.

It is sobering to look at the graves where children only lived a few years, some only a few days, in the 1800's. Sickness/disease? Indian Attacks? Accidents? Maybe all the above led to their early demise. We take a lot for granted in today's world.
