Hi, Do you know what gravestones are still standing at this site? I'm looking for Daniel and Elizabeth Castle. It shows they're buried here, and I'm considering a trip there if their stones are still there. Thanks so much.

Possibly related?

I'm wondering if we are related, we have family members on Census records from Gatesville, Texas, living in the same household. My great grandfather is Barney Monroe Wollard, and Andrew Jackson Wollard/Woolard is listed as Barney's father, Martha Alice is listed as Andrew's wife, and Virginia Ann Ashby/Allen is listed as Andrew's Mother-in law. It gets very confusing sometimes, but I am going to have my DNA done to know for sure. If you would like to compare records, please let me know...God bless!

RE: Old Cavaness Cemetery
Thanks. I know him well. He owns the property on the other side of the river where the Burnett Cemetery is located. Are you sure you were on the right side of the river for the Cavaness Cemetery? I was told you had to go to the end of Storm's property and cross the river to go up the other side to find the Cavaness Cemetery.

RE: Old Cavaness Cemetery
Wonderful! I hope you find it. My husband and his floating friends have tried to find it several times. At one time, it had a rock wall around it.

RE: Houston Rural Cemetery
From Houston:

Hwy 17 So. To Hwy W. Approx. 17 mi.-Right turn [only way / this will be 5 mi. No. of Summersville.

Once you've turned onto Hwy. W it will be 9 mi. to the Arroll church & cemetery, at this point
you will have the choice to continue on Hwy W. { that would be a NO or go stright ahead on Jack Fork RD.(dirt), again a NO.

Your asking what is left? Going right on Arroll Road Approx. 4 mi. & you will find Houston Rural Cemetery.

Hope this helps & should you need any further info:, give a shout...............

RE: Houston Rural Cemetery
Were in business,
Will send detailed map tomorrow & add to F.A.G. @ same time..... Note, 4-wheel drive not totally a need, but would not attempt with a corvette if you get my drift.. Also best to not try after hard rain as road has a way of eroding BADLY!
Last but not least this is a low wet cemetery, hence best after a few days of dry weather or frozen ground.
