|Bio and Links|
Retired university teacher and librarian with interest in Civil War burials and burial practices. Also undertaking to photograph all cemeteries in Erath County, TX, and surrounding counties, then to enter the tombstone information into the database. Many older tombstones are in such shape as to be illegible, so corrections to bad or missing biographical information is welcomed. |
Please make requests for additions, corrections, links, etc., directly from the memorials' "edit" feature rather than here. I'll get to them much faster. (Transfers to direct descendants, please, and not in bulk lots!)

I have been researching Larkin Cornell and cam across William (#20598956). The 1850 census lists him as from Pontotoc MS with sister Minerva, and mother Mary.
Do you know what Civil War regiment he joined? I have not been able to locate him in census records for 1860, 1870 and 1880. thanks, Louis

Ken, I came across your photo of my dad's grave marker. In fact my mom was not listed yet in the photo, she passed in Feb. 2013.
I am just so curious - I have not even begun to research why you did this photograph, surely I won't have to take too much of your time BUT is there a reason you took the photo.
Is it related to veterans? My dad served in the
Army in France and Germany, WWII.
Thanks, Patricia Bickle Adams. I just signed up this moment with http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=mred&MREid=48856082
THANKS SO MUCH,
not sure if I should leave my email, if I do not find a way to see if you respond, I will email you my direct email in a separate message.
