Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been fascinated with my family history (and all history) since I was little. I am new to this, but I love taking photos of cemeteries and researching the people I come across. Some of my family names I am researching are Dimitry, Dupuy, Allison, Davis, Hays, Keller, Schill, Mills, Smith, Warner, Townsley, Bull, Perry, Ruth, Wormser, Howey, Harp, Beckley, and Buhler.

If I have made any mistakes, please let me know and I will try to correct them as soon as possible.

Marcia Kohl
Eliza Bunce obit
Thanks so much for providing the old Bee obit. There must be several from my family. Are these online? I have an obit from Long Beach for her as well. Does it go here, too?

Thank you so very much for the Lew Hill obituary from the 1908 Omaha Bee--I transcribed it and added it to his memorial.

Re: Julia Remer
Phillipsp,

Julia Remer is actually my GG grandmother. Her name was Julia Petersen (Peterson). She was married three times. My family is from her first marriage to John Willhoft. Her grave was moved in 1935 by her daughter Anna to Prospect Hill Cemetery in Elkhorn, Nebraska. I would love to take over her page if you are willing.

Thanks,

Tim Foley

I will make sure to let you know when I

It means the world to me that you are keeping up with my bloodlines memory. I Told my mother about this

I did let my mother know about this site. And she was very happy.

RE: Thank you SO MUCH for that old Omaha Bee obit
GOGS is the Greater Omaha Genealogical Society. I am not a member of it (I work with Washington County, Nebraska, just north of Omaha), but I absolutely love the GOGS site--their obituary references are quite short, but they say how old the person was, the spouse's name, and which cemetery (if known). There are quite a lot of references to the Omaha Bee.
The website is http://gogsmembers.wordpress.com/

I actually would like to see some of the full obituaries--I once knew how to get to the various pages of the Omaha Bee, and the Omaha World-Herald, and the Catholic Voice, but seem to have lost the links.

RE: William Slaven
I calculated his birthdate based on his death date & age at death. I've double checked it and it is correct. I'm not sure what numbers you are using. I am seeing date of death as 18 Jan 1881, minus 1 year, 10 months, 27 days. This is based on the Julian calendar found at http://www.csgnetwork.com/reversebirthcalc.html
