My husband and I moved to the country after retiring from state government careers. We enjoy seeing the variety of markers with which people remember their loved ones. Unfortunately, the farm is a busy place for us, with my horses, mules, cats, and dogs. We seldom takes long trips now to look for our own relatives. Thank goodness for the internet and for Findagrave, which helps with our genealogical searches. I think it is important to know our roots and to contribute to preservation and sharing of our histories. | |

 | Minnie Nunn Bybee Photo Jerry You had placed a photo on the memorial for Minnie Bybee in Childress Cemetery. The one you placed it on was a duplicated memorial which I will remove. I will send a request for the photo from the original memorial..so if you would want to place it there...I have copied it to my file just in case you do not have it and can add it from there. | RE: Alice Groseclose Jerry you are so kind! I think the guidelines are for people who don't like to give a lot away maybe? For instance, once someone asked me to transfer every single memorial I had for a certain surname. It would have been such an ordeal because I had so many! I used the guidelines in that case, but usually I have no problem transferring. I would much rather they were in the care of a relative who will take good care of them and add personal knowledge and data. If there is anything that I can do for you, or if I ever have one of your relatives I would be more than happy to transfer them to you!Added by rhondajo on Jun 30, 2011 1:11 PM | | | rhondajo
 | RE: Alice Groseclose You know what, it's not a big deal. I went ahead and was able to hook Alice up to her son anyway. But please remember, that the transfer guidelines are just that, guidelines. They are not, as you suggested, regulations that are written in stone.Added by rhondajo on Jun 30, 2011 1:32 AM | | | Bob Bline
