I am a cousin of Joseph V. Carper. Here is my information on him.
Joseph Van Meter Carper, a son of Benjamin and Elizabeth (Van Meter) Carper, was born in Fincastle, Virginia on february 18, 1812. He married Anna Maria (Grymer) West in 1834.
If you have any further information on him, I would appreciate it. Thank you!

I was wondering if you are related to John F. Ham? If not would you consider transferring to me. He is my maternal gggrandfather. You took the pictures of his wife's grave for me. Thanks!

Thanks so much! I have finally found Great-Great Paternal Grandfather/Grandmother. It is deeply appreciated. I noticed that the monument is four-sided. Are there any other family members in that plot as well?
Just to let you know, John was a machinist who served in Company C of the 52nd VA Inf. He was assigned to the Clifton Forge foundry for the Navy Dept. 1862-1864.

Is it possible for you to please take a photo of the headstones of my Great Uncle and Aunt's gravestones the next time you are at the Alleghaney Memorial Park Cemetery in Covington, VA.
Uncle Alex was like a father to my dad. When we lived in VA we used to visite he and Aunt Ona at their home. I am in contact with Alexis, the granddaughter of ALex and Ona and I am sure she would also like to have the photos. I will get the photos to her as we both live in GA.
I really appreciate any effort you can make to obtain the photos.

Thanks for the offer. The people I requested are pretty far off my main line, except for Howard Null. Last time I was in Covington, I didn;t check out his stone. I've always wondered why AUnt Ruby was buried next to her 1st husband at Cedar Hill. Now I know....Howard was buried next to his 1st wife! It all makes sense now.

Thanks so much for taking the pics of my requests. I have not been to Virgina in a couple of years. I appreciate your kindness.
I hope you had the opportunity to talk to Mustard while you were there. I love that guy!
Thanks again, Jen
