"Show me [how you care for] your cemeteries and I will tell you what kind of people you have."|
All of my ancestors for at least six generations are from Fentress county Tennessee. I have a great deal of interest in the history of that area.
Some family names are: WINNINGHAM, ATKINSON, COOPER, WRIGHT, CONATSER, MASSINGILL, BEATY, HOOVER, KING, ROBBINS, YOUNG.
I would love to have old family photos and would be glad to share mine!
I have found many cousins here on Find a Grave and would like to meet more.
"If I didn't have those people back there, I would never have had anything to write about. That's where I got all my stories from. My life is from them. … I'm going to do everything to keep up for them, in memory. That is my duty from now until I die."
- Author Ernest J. Gaines explaining why he takes care of an old cemetery on the former plantation where five generations of his ancestors, going back to slavery, are buried.

|Diane Gravlee||Associates Church Cemetery|
Casey, did you create the Associates Church Cemetery in Bloomington, Monroe County, Indiana? If so, I am in contact with the husband of Linda Walbridge, who is buried there, and he asked me to update the cemetery page as follows: "Visitors to the cemetery may park in the driveway." Would you please make that change. Thanks.

A link from one memorial to another in the bio is allowable under the guidelines. This is used to link, for example, siblings who are deceased and either the parents are not deceased or burials are unknown.
Links in the bio are also often used when a cenotaph is designated (such as the three in Winningham Road Cemetery for those who are buried elsewhere) and a link is created from the cenotaph to the actual burial memorial.
This is from the FAQs for FindaGrave. I have already put in the name on the actual burial for Willie as well as the memorial number. Copy and paste it into the bio -- but remove the first space - the one after the < at the beginning.
To designate others, just change the name and the memorial number.

Could you please add the tombstone photo to Sarah's husband, John R. Payne #147915036 ? They were cousins of my husband. Thank you, Dotty
Would you please add your picture of Spears Family Cemetery to the memorial above? I would love to see the memorial have the benefit of your beautiful picture. Thank you for all you do, Brenda. PS If I have posted any pictures here or on ancestry.com that you would like, please feel free to use them.
|Joe||Achsah Smith (62382667)|
Thank you for all of the work you have done and are doing on Find A grave.
I wanted to let you know that the maiden name of Achsah Smith (62382667), in Vernal-Mayfield Cemetery, was not Belcher.
Her mother Mary is listed as "Mary Belcher" in the same household as Achsah in the 1850 census, but Mary had remarried to Elisha Belsha and he was not Achsah's father.
3xgreat grandson of Achsah

I'm a descendant of Adam Kern (1762-1838). I am interested in the picture of his cabin that you have posted. Would you mind if I post it on my website? Also, can you tell me anything about the picture?

|Carolyn Ellis||Caroline Kay Haney, Rone, McIndoo|
This one is #62186197. I have run across another Caroline Kay McIndoo #40942867 buried in Burton Cem., Owen Co. Indiana. This last one has an obituary posted with it and I am just wondering which one is correct. This last one also has a tombstone with the name McIndoo it says Rone was buried with his first wife. I can't fine where John Rone was married twice. This is very confusing. Can you throw any light on this?
|Ruth||RE: Shaving cream on stone?|
Your stone is quite beautiful. We are doing cemetery records for several cemeteries which have few, if any, written records. I apologize if it looks like we did anything to harm your stone. We do use lighting and shading, and spray water sometimes to get a readable photo. We use a soft brush to clear debris when needed. We respect every stone whether it is new or old.
