Bio and Links
Bio Photo I want to thank everyone that has helped me and for all the kindness, hard work and effort they have gone to making memorials on FAG. Am always worried I missed thanking someone for their work and their help, so this is THANK YOU TO ALL for the photos, linking updates and any transfers. IT IS ALL VERY APPRECIATED.
I know that I have made so many link edits and requests to updates that in my email I am not able to keep up with all of the thank yous and am truly sorry for that.

I have been researching my family tree for almost 20 yrs now. Direct line and I always seem to chase aunts, uncles, cousins and everyone I can find. It tells you a lot about the people and their life, which is the best part for me.

Some of my main family names are....
Paternal side: Abbott, Pitman, Ritchie, Wilson, Cox, Gann, Yates, Dodd, Hall, Clark, Snead, Newland, McCauley, Bledsoe, Belcher, Oldham, Gentry, Martin, Ferrill, McCauley, Feland

Maternal side: Phelps, Stewart, Hassler, Jett, Banson, Pointer, Aud, Tate, Wheeler, Pratt Vandervort, Halstead, James, Reed, Hornaday, Baily, Short, Pike, Richardson, Overman

Husbands side: Shaw, Roberts, Finnel, Terhune, Wheeler, Morris

Tons more surnames from marriages of siblings, aunts, uncles and cousins. My immediate family started in Missouri from north to mid, south and east parts of the state reached into Kansas in Atchison and Miami counties just to name a few then kept growing! I have over 40,000 people in my tree that covers the whole USA and other countries, some back to the 1500 and 1600's.

Has been an exciting journey and learning experience for me and my family. I love it and wish you all the best in your journey. Thank you.

If you can call Resurrection Cemetery 323 887 2024 and get the location for the grave, I will be happy to take a photo next weekend.

Hassler
Hi Pat,

Following up on our conversation regarding the Hasslers. Martha Hassler, daughter of Abraham Hassler, sister of Pleasant Hassler..

You and I have both the same information regarding her from the 1870 Osage County, MO census. But, after that, she disappeared. Hoping a descendant would be somewhere on the world wide web, but I can't locate either of the Raines boys either. How can one woman with two young boys cause so much of a challenge!

Thoughts??

RE: ps: nice to meet you cuz :)
Hello Patty,

Hi Patty,

This is fantastic to meet a cousin from the same lineage. Martha Hassler Hufstedler Raines is my 2nd great grandmother.
James Hufstedler > Martha Hassler

Jacob Hufstelder > Mary Jane West

Frank Hufstedler > Fay Helmig

Geraldine Hufstedler > Leonico Castro

Me... Fay Castro Alford.

I have found the same information as you have regarding Martha..... After the 1870 Census she and the youngest children (Raines ) seem to disappear off the face of the earth. I have looked for Columbus, looked to see if she had remarried, looked for death certificate. I am curious of your comment regarding "Martha I believe she died about 1900 in Osage, MO." Wondering what is making you feeling this way?

I have info complete info on Jacob (since I am from that line) and on William Abraham Hufstedler. Not much on Mary, John or Louis.

Which line are your from ?? So thrilled to connect.

Fay

Hasslers
Hello Pat,

While surfing the surname of Hasslers, came across your posting. Noticed that you are from the line of George Hassler b. 1821. My ggggrandmother was Martha Hassler b. 1833. George and Martha was siblings. I have been able to located her in the 1870 Osage Co Census, but after that she seem to have disappear. I was wondering if you may have some knowledge of where the family may have moved on or what became of them. Thank you. Fay Alford. fay.alford@yahoo.com

Grissom Lee
Hi Pat, I just sent you an edit to change the spelling of Grissom Lee`s first name. You where correct and so where the cemetery records. The death certificate misspelled his name as they often do. This other spelling is how many spell this name but not the way the Lee families spelled it. Grissom is my 1st cousin, so many times removed(I think 4)and I had been looking for him but was using the right spelling. Kind of confusing I know.
I know I don`t have the right by Find A Grave rules to ask for his transfer to me but if you are not related I would like to maintain his memorial. I have a short bio. for him and am looking into his military service to add more. I am writing many bio`s for Lee family members. Please check out my pages. Sorry, I can`t remember my number right now and I will loose this email to get to it.
Thank You for keeping up with him for us and considering my requests. Sincerely, Eli Chandler

photo request: Sarah Frances Ware Burt-Washburn
Hello,
Preparing to visit Long Prairie Cemetery and noticed your photo request for Sarah Frances Ware Burt-Washburn memorial 136898191 (created 10/6/2014).
There appears to be a duplicate memorial which includes a marker photo. Please see S.F."Fannie" Washburn memorial 32921401 (created 1/14/2009) for reference.
Thank you for all your contributions to Find A Grave!

RE: Benoni Cox
I am so sorry, I have come across issues where dates that family members had were incorrect from the stone. This was the only Benoni Cox in Turner Cemetery. I walked the entire area. It is very small and on a beautiful little hill in the middle of farm ground. Again I am sorry and I hope I can help again if it's in my area.

Jefferson Davis Ware
Hi Pat,
My Great Grandfather - Jefferson Davis Ware was born on June 27, 1871 - the headstone is hard to read, but maybe Bobby Badger can update the image. His page shows the dates he was born & died. My grandma was the baby of the family - 10 boys & 6 girls born to Jeff & Effie Ware. She was still growing, when Jeff was killed in a duel.
