I was born in Washington, DC, but I grew up on a small farm in the Landon community, 5 miles north of Gulfport, MS. I have lived in the greater Houston, TX area since 1972. I am recently retired and am now able to spend more time on genealogy and cemetery searches.|
I have been actively involved in genealogy since 2005, and I wish I had started sooner. I am a participant in the WEBB Surname DNA project, and I am actively involved in EDGAR, DICKINSON and HIGH Surname DNA projects.
Surnames of special research interest include: WEBB, BEWLEY, VON HASSELN, CARTER, MCCORD, DAVIS, MILLER, HIGH, LAWRENCE, BOBO, BLASSINGAME, EDGAR, WITHERINGTON, WOLLARD, DICKINSON, POWER, KINNISON, MCMANUS, BROWN, SMITH, WRIGHT, BATCHELOR, PRIDGEN, DONNELLY, KNOX, DOUGLASS, GOODE, CULPEPPER, GUTHRIE, GARNER, STONE, BLUM, HART, MURPHREE, PATTON, SWISHER, WALTERS, ADAM, MCCLEOD, WYLIE, CLARKSON, COTTER, MEARA, HANRAHAN, MEEHAN, MORAN, TOBIN, NOLAN, MURPHY, and others, especially in TX, OK, MS, LA, GA, SC, NC, TN, VA, PA, NJ and NY (and England, Scotland and Ireland).
I especially enjoy collaborating with other researchers and finding and sharing more information about our ancestors. Find A Grave has been a wonderful resource for my cousins and me in our ancestral research, and we are trying to increasingly do our parts to contribute.
If any of the memorials I am managing are for your family members (if closer to you than to me), I will be happy to transfer them to you. I continue to be impressed with and inspired by the gracious, cooperative, respectful attitudes of most Find A Grave contributors.

That is so interesting. Thanks Bob.
|Ella Faye Johnson||Wayne Johnson Memorial Wisconsin|
Thank you so much. Seeing and reading this family history brings many memories of our Johnson heritage. The work you have done in telling the stories of loved ones, who are now at rest, is most appreciated.
We are the fortunate ones, who have you as a very dedicated Genealogist. Much is added to the rich history of our ancestors through your research as descendants of Dr. Samuel Burling Dickinson and Caroline Elizabeth Kinnison Dickinson.

I am not a descendant, but the husband of Joan (Druesedow) Griggs was a descendant. I will send your message to her son, Dr. John C Griggs, who took the photo of the portrait.

If you will send me Mr Frost's obituary I will try to put it in bio section, I don't know if I can do it but I will try. Don't delete what you
already added. I will let you know.
|Donna Sikes Holley||RE: Olin L. WEBB's Parents|
I was just writing Find A Grave about this problem and when I switched back to Olin's memorial his parents were there. Just like magic! Thanks so much for the quick response.

Thanks for the transfer Bob! .. I'm loosely related but very happy to care for TJ Reader's memorial page. Take care, cousin. :)

I noticed that it is listed on John Webb's Memorial, Find A Grave Memorial# 76528051, that he was Adj General during the Revolutionary War. I have been trying to find some additional reference for his Revolutionary War service in preparing genealogy data for 92 year old, Vergil Rodgers, a descendant of John Webb. Vergil was a front gunner on a B-24 during WWII, and I would like to get a little booklet prepared for him while he is still in good health.
Do you have any information or know where I can locate more information or references on John Webb's Revolutionary War service?

Linking to an unknown burial: I do not link to unknown burials per the FAQs for FindAGrave since they do not record the final disposition:
What is Find A Grave?
Find a Grave's mission is to FIND, RECORD and PRESENT FINAL DISPOSITION information from around the world as a virtual cemetery experience.
Memorial contributions to Find A Grave must fulfill that mission - registration of the final disposition. If the memorial contribution corresponds with only the main mission, then the memorial fulfills its purpose as part of Find A Grave's mission.
