Bio Photo Findagrave has added a wonderful feature that allows memorial holders to update many requests at a time, but only if done via the Edit tab --- so please try that before leaving information on the profile page! This new feature is a true blessing.

Thank you for visiting!

My mother, Mary Edith "Meg" Stevens and I, were/are long-time supporters of Findagrave -- a wonderful site to place memorials and do research. She sadly passed away in May of 2013, but her love of genealogy and helping others find their family, lives on.

One of my interest areas is the American Revolution. Please feel free to visit my page on Facebook and assist in the research.

I also welcome you to follow my weekly blog at GenealogyBank or to follow me on Twitter.

Thank you. I wish you success in your family research.

If you wish to download one of my tombstone pictures, you may do so for personal usage and should give proper credit.

Photographs of individuals absolutely require permission, and if lifted from here without appropriate permission or credit are subject to licensing fees.

Obits under copyright should be summarized, or cannot be posted (many less than 72 years, or longer if a newspaper renewed the copyright.)

Please follow Findagrave guidelines to be within a few generations and a direct descendant. For older ones, please communicate the reason.

As the number of memorials I manage increases, I sometimes elect to transfer without being asked. If you received a transfer and do not wish to manage it, please transfer back.

Transfer request
Margaret (ZERFOSS) Clark, wife of William CLARK is my 3rd great grandmother. I would very much like to maintain her Memorial #38603304 if you would be willing to transfer it to me. - Sandra

David Olmstead 107750233
Thanks for your note about David's year of death. My notes indicate the original cemetery records list 1805 as the year of his death. I'll be able to review the records next week to verify. More than one person named David Olmstead lived in this area during this time; perhaps this David Olmstead has been confused with someone else (the parents' names came from a SAC.) -Deb

Church photo
Are you sure that the photo you have on this site under Benjamin Altenderfer #9610494 is Belleman church? It looks very much like Zion Moselem Lutheran in Berks Co.

Samuel Dobson
Hi I'm not really sure how this site works but just came across an entry for Samuel Dobson who I believe may be my relative. I wonder if the memorial you have on his page is actually for him? I have a similar one to his family in Yorkshire which was erected by him in a place called Ellerburne. Any info that you could provide would be fabulous. He was born in 1807 (approx)

Thanks, Anna

William Bailey
Thanks for the correction and the transfer, Mary. I'm transferring him back to you. You've done such a thorough job with him and he is not actually my William Bailey -- I just came across him when I was looking for mine and noted the error in the dates.
Keep up the good work!

Dr. John Smith Walker
Hi -- I see you are maintaining the entry for Sophia Misplee Pond Walker

Find A Grave Memorial# 101578391

and wondered if her husband Dr. John Smith Walker is also buried in Woodlands. If so, could you make an entry for him? He was born in 1847 but I don't know when he died.

I also wonder if their children are buried there:
John Keasbey Walker, 1877-1955
Warren Walker, 1878-1955
Elise Walker Morris (Mrs. Galloway Cheston Morris), born 1884

I have biographies for John and Warren if you'd like them.
