This is a fun and interesting hobby for me, as well as a great way to perform a meaningful community service to others. Someday I hope to have more free time to devote to it. Yes, I'm in it for the numbers! The more memorials that are on this site, the better chance of people finding relatives. That's what this is all about.|
In fairness to those who may have closer ties to a memorial, please read the Transfer Guidelines prior to requesting a transfer. I will make exceptions if I am personally doing work for you. You do not need to "manage" every memorial that is part of your family tree. Remember that this site is for locating burials, not building a tree. There are other websites that are more suitable for that purpose. I will be happy to make any links and corrections. PLEASE use the SAC feature ("Edit" tab). Please do not ask me to do links to any "Burial Unknown". Do your homework, first. Please feel free to add photos where appropriate, as you do not need to manage the memorial to add photos.
I will not cut and paste raw data from census records, death indices, etc. A nicely written bio is preferable.
Since March 2013 I have taken over management of memorials in Inglewood Park Cemetery from Chris Mills. Please continue to send suggestions for corrections using the "Edit" tab and I will get to them as soon as I can.

Thank you so much.
I will have to do some research. I knew my "great" aunt and Uncle well. Fred was my grandmother's brother. He would come to Yuma every March as their respective birthdays were both in march. I would go to Long Beach and go boogie boarding at the beach.
It is weird though that I only knew of one son.... a Frank or Fred I am not sure. I didn't know him that well and was told that he was Aunt Harriet's from a previous marriage. That is why I am not sure his last name would be Brady unless Uncle Fred adopted him.
Some recent research has Aunt Harriette with some siblings and other children. I wasn't aware of any of these other people. I also don't have parents for her. I know who my Uncle's family is because of his direct genetic link to me.
I would like to see these headstones and check them against dates I have. I am almost positive Uncle Fred had no children of his own.
Thanks for all your help.
Also, do you know how to link a memorial back to ancestry? I have tried and tried to get ancestry to find this "correct" Harriette and it will only link to the other one. Any ideas on what to do, or perhaps someone you know I can ask?

I took off the photo for the other Hariet. Do you want to transfer management of Ira/Harriette Brady memorial to me? It doesn't really matter just curious.
I wonder who this other Hariet is as most of the Brady's in that area are related to me.

I do not think that is being difficult at all, of course you want to be able to confirm the information if correct.
The California Death Index shows he was born in 1877 and his mother's maiden name was Hays. The Ohio Marriage Record also confirms that Mary Theresa Hays married Robert Dool in 1873, so before Hays birth. Census records as well as clippings from local newspapers at the time confirm she is his mother.

Wow! Thank you, B.J. Fast and nice as can be. Thank you for your kindness and appreciation. I have a great love of family and will take good care of the memorial. I hope to find her husband Gabor there one day as well. If you happen upon him in you wanderings, please give me a shout. Thanks again for the transfer.

The Ira F and Harriette (I think this is a spelling error although her son was still alive when she passed away so it may be correct) in the memorial you added in Inglewood is correct. These are the people that should be linked not the other Hariet Brady (wonder why there are two that are so similar).
Anyway, Thank you so much for the headstone photo. Now we just need to get this photo on Harriette's page and link the two and I think we will be done.
Thank you so much.
PS would it be easier to have me "maintain" the memorial once all is fixed?
Let me know

Thank you so much for the picture of the Comley's marker. I live in Indiana and would have a difficult time doing it myself.
How would I contact the cemetery to get more info on their burials.....they are relatives. Thanks again.
