I live in the San Fernando Valley, in Los Angeles, although I'll always consider myself a Kansas Citian. I've always been interested in my family's heritage, and am the self-appointed, unofficial family historian. I started using Find A Grave to find movie stars from the Golden Age of Hollywood, and discovered the non-famous grave database. I checked the cemetery in my hometown of Kansas City, where my relatives are buried, and discovered that someone had created memorials for some of them! These memorials have since been transferred to me, and I've added more from my family tree. Since total strangers had done this for my family, I'm trying to repay the favor by creating memorials in my area so that others can find their loved ones.|

Hi there, you added a photo to the memorial for Arthur Vournas; would you be able to add it to Edna Vournas (35250369) as well?
|A S||RE: Seeking information|
That's really interesting..because I think Claus and Anne may be my great great grandparents as well. I know my great great grandmother as Anna Christine Mortensen (maiden name) so that's the only thing here leading me to believe they may not be the same. I don't know the name Hansdatter in any capacity. The birth/death dates also don't match what I have but I assume those are filler dates anyway considering 1955 is the same year that Laust was born.
If you could contact Connie or find the translated document, it would be much appreciated. I may ask some Danes online to see if they could translate it for me as well. Any other information you might have on Claus or Anne(Anna?) would be great!

|A S||Seeking information about entries you made|
I'm writing you to inquire about an entry you made here on Laust Klausen's page https://secure.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=34805286
Specifically, the parents you have listed, Claus and Anne. I'm wondering where you got those names from and why they are considered the parents of Laust. I can't read or translate the picture, if that information is in there. Anything you can do to help is appreciated!

Hi, Mark -
My apologies - I just saw your message.
Glad I could help.
Interesting - in all my readings about the 390th, I don't seem to remember your father-in-law. I'll have to do some research on him.
Take care -

I see. I go back home in a couple of days but would like to move back to the Johnson County area on a permanent basis to help my parents they are kind of old now haha. In that event, i want to see about visiting graves of family every year and maybe restoring a couple. the weather has taken its toll on a few of them. Let me know if you have any ideas and you're always free to call me.
I learned something rather distressing. the graves of our ancestors in Denmark is a crap shoot. the poorer faction there has to either pay to upkeep their graves or cancel them and most elect to "cancel". Whatever that means. I'm of the opinion that they remove the headstone. If I find out anything else about this practice I will let you know. _Connie

Hi, Mark -
I am friends with the niece of Jack Fariss and this is one of my favorite B-17 crews.
You have some of the crew names wrong on the crew photo.
Front left to right is: Irving R. Lifson - Navigator; Hiram C. Skogmo - Pilot; Alvin Jaspers - Co-pilot; Merle M. Cloud -Bombardier.
These names were incorrect in a book, and I can't remember which one, but I assure you that I am correct.
The names of the crew in the back row are correct.
Thank you for your time.
