Bio Photo My Find-a-Grave activity is only moderately curtailed by that essential 'nuisance' of "having to earn a living". I generally respond to queries, SACs and requests as soon as I can get a round tuit. Sincere apologies for all delays, and thank you for your patience. =]) Beth

A proud Canadian, I now live in the beautiful Province of British Columbia :D Locations of interest near my former home in Ontario include all of Simcoe County (which is about an hour north of Toronto), plus Ancaster (west Hamilton) and the (former) County of Wentworth, which are due west of Toronto.

Copyright courtesy requested! If you wish to use a photo that I have uploaded to a memorial here on Find-a-Grave, and post it to another website 'as yours', KINDLY ASK ME FIRST. In general, I don't mind if anyone uses my photos for their personal records, and I would hope my name would be included for the source file. But please, if you're going to post them to a FEE-BASED/SUBSCRIPTION website (including Ancestry, which as we all know ultimately profits from _everything_ contributed to their site), it would be nice if credit to the photographer (me) could be given within the posting. I don't know if other sites make this possible, but something such as: "Photograph taken by OhSunnyOne, Ancaster, Ont" would be appreciated.
Thank you for this consideration.

"If we don't grab this data, it's gone. Stones are face down, fallen over. Some that we can read now, we won't be able to read later. Counties just don't have the resources to restore every cemetery." --

Visitor: What a nice town. Have you lived here all your life?
Old Lady: Nope. Not yet.

Richard & Kelly Fairhurst Memorials
Thank you for posting such lovely memorials for my Aunt and Uncle (153763308 & 153762978) and for attaching them to the rest of the family. It was a nice surprise to find their graves photographed, as visiting them was on my list of to-do's for next summer. Cheers!

RE: Re Dillon (aka A D) Coristine
Thanks Beth, for the mail and kind offer to remove the duplicate page. Yes, perhaps Karen might wish to use some of your bio as well. I will try to get up to the cemetery soon but still a bit of snow and there is NO guarantee at all, that markers exist for either Dillon or Vernon (as its in the old section where a lot of markers are NOT). thanks again, Allan

St. Matthew's again
I failed to answer all your questions. I have the link on my iPhone. I originally downloaded it to an older phone. I transferred it to my new one but hadn't listened to it on the new phone yet. After receiving your message, I tried it, and it did not play. I don't know if the problem was the upload from the old phone or if the program is no longer working. It appears still to be available in the iTunes store. If you are able to get your download to work, let me know! I'll do the same.

RE: Nairne, St Matthews
You should be able to find it on iTunes under the name St. Matthew's Cemetery. I found the link on the Quebec City site, nestled obscurely at the bottom of the page titled Must-See Attractions, inside a mobile apps link! You might try directly at

Good luck!

Mary KInley
Beth...thank you so much for the info about her. I suspect she was married to 'my' HUgh Maurice Kinley. Will research further to see if she was...and hopefully find her maiden name and parents.

Re Catherine R. Best Grant

You note her father as Thomas R. Best. I think her father is Richard Best married to Mary Williams. See Find A Grave Memorial# 99374602.

Richard is buried in St. John's Anglican Church Cem, Penville, Simcoe Co., Ont. Canada.

Nairne again
You're welcome; I'm glad you're having fun. My favorite part about this hobby is the research and the funny little discoveries and coincidences that might link one distantly to someone else across miles and generations. I'm a bit mystified as to how I mistook the surname Nairne and why I didn't catch it, since it's correct in the biographical material I took from Wrong. In type, m and rn look almost identical, so it was likely a typo that my old eyes couldn't discern. Anyway, thanks to you for catching it and for your wonderful additions to the memorials. Will just add that I fell in love with Quebec on a visit a couple years ago, and especially with the old Protestant St. Matthew's cemetery on Rue Saint-Jean, which we came across on a stroll. Back at the hotel, I googled it and found an interesting, hour-long download of a tour through the cemetery. Fascinating.
