My interests - as they pertain to Find-A-Grave - are genealogy, photography, Civil War and Oregon & Santa Fe Trail history. I believe that family members, however distant, make the best managers of memorials, and therefore most of the memorials I manage are available for transfer. I try to visit at least one cemetery on each of my travels, for new memorials and new photographs, to help preserve the history of families and communities.|

Thank you so much for the excellent gravestone photo for JOSIAH WATTS LEWIS. This has helped me fill in a blank of my family tree. Have a nice day.

Just found the info you sent re the service of Nelson Dean; thank you. I will update my database and check out his grave marker once I find where he is buried. I actually have very little on him as he is not an ancestor. So - something new to look for. Appreciate the help.

Thank you for adding the photo to Donna's memorial.

That would be greatly appreciated.

I haven't been to either cemetery for some time but here is what I have.
The photos for both cemeteries are correct. I think the church at Williston is gone.
The cemetery at Alamo is located 5 miles South and 2 miles West of town at 131st Ave. NW and 75th St NW. I think this incorrect map has been added recently.
The location should be;
Lat. 48.07560 Lon. 103.46420

Thanks for your speedy reply on the Saddle and Sirloin Club and Joseph Rosenbaum. I noticed that there are a couple dozen Joseph Rosenbaums listed in different states in Find a Grave, but most of them are missing photographs and birth data. I suspect that the banker gentleman we're talking about is one of those who are buried in Chicago. I'm unsure of the date of his death, but he was around the same age as my greatgrandfather Kohrs, so he may have died about the same time. If I run across more information about him, I'll share it with you. Thanks again! Patricia Nell Warren

I'm Conrad Kohrs's greatgranddaughter, and greatly appreciate your creation of the virtual cemetery for the Saddle and Sirloin Club, of which he was a member. Many were the stories I heard about this institution at the Union Stockyards, whose membership included scientists and veterinarians and others, as well as stockraisers. I notice that Joseph Rosenbaum is missing from your cemetery roster of Club members. As an important Chicago banker, Rosenbaum served as cattle commissioner for Kohrs and many of the other members, handling their sales for many years. I'm hoping you can find a portrait of him to include -- I know that one exists because I've seen a reproduction of it in a vintage publication about the Club and its gallery of portraits. Thanks again for what you do for American history. Best, Patricia Nell Warren
