A Find-a-Graver since the site's origins as the hit for notable graves--not genealogy--I do "Famous" bios, and photograph/write about old gravestones, cemeteries, and the people interred within for the general reader. Will cheerfully answer queries, make corrections, add data to the "Family Links" section, and include other relevant info ASAP. Please no requests to insert multiple hyperlinks in the narrative part of the bio or to transfer pre-1900 burials. Find-a-Grave members can always include any grave listed on the website in an ancestral or other type of grouping by using the "Virtual Cemetery" feature. If you wish to quote me or use my photos, please contact me; attribution for written pieces is "by Nikita Barlow, for Findagrave", and for photographs, "Photo by Nikita Barlow". Thanks for your cooperation, and happy graving!

That's a really nice write-up, Nikita. Sure is an interesting house over there in Matawan.

Thanks Nikita, I understand the reason for the edit decline. Burrowes' memorials are tricky!
The house she lived in is still standing as a museum & is rumored to be haunted.
"Burrowes Mansion" in Matawan...there's something really spooky about it. It is absolutely gorgeous, but I won't go inside it or even on the lawn anymore because it scared me so much!

I don't remember who I had given as David's father, but on my family tree I also have his father as Samuel 1696 - 1777. David is my 6th Great Grandfather on my Great Great Grandmother Esther's side of the family. Thanks for correcting my mistake. I guess it was one of those senior moments. Cheryl

Can you please delete memorial 93736598, as it is a duplicate of one I added 6 years earlier.

Thanks so much, Nikita. That would be wonderful.
I would love to get there myself, but I don't know when that might be. . . It looks like a lovely old churchyard, from what I can see in google maps.
Best wishes, Beth

Nikita, Thanks so much for posting such wonderful items!
I have a question about the memorial for Caleb Duxbury, who was buried at Christ Church Cemetery, Belleville, NJ. The quote is FANTASTIC and has some great hints for research, going further. Could you tell me where the information came from? Is it from a book, or other cemetery inventory?
Thanks very much,
