Bio and Links
Bio Photo Most of my photos are geotagged. Remember, GPS isn't exact, but it sure can be helpful to locate a stone.

If I've been helpful in your search, I'd love to hear about it. Drop me a line and let me know who you found.

Corrections: Even though FindAGrave is a grave registration site, not a genealogy site, I love to add information, fix errors and make family links, so please feel free to send them to me via the Suggest A Correction button.

Feel free to add your photos to all memorials. Your name and link to your profile will appear with the photo.

Transfers: If I have prepared a memorial for your family member and you would like it transferred to you, please use the Suggest a Correction Link located in the upper right hand corner of each memorial. In your message, please state your relationship to the deceased. I use the FindAGrave transfer guidelines as a starting point for transfers, but often grant transfers outside of those guidelines. Telling me you are "related" and "you have information to add" probably won't get a transfer. You'll have the greatest chance of getting an 'out of guidelines transfer' if you tell me something interesting about the person or your family's connection to southern Indiana.

William Jolly #44245259
Traci: hello, I have been working with Steve Kay a descendant of William's mother, Sarah (Kay) Jolly. There has been confusion over whether William was in the Civil War and with new information, I believe he was. Steve has found that William was killed in the "Battle of Stones River, Tennessee", on the first day of battle 31 Dec 1862.

I will send you Edits today for his approximate birth date of 1797 in Mason Co, KY and his death date of 31 Dec 1862 - along with the email from Steve. I did find that their son Walter C Jolly was in the Civil War.

Also, do you know if both Prudence and William are buried in the same plot?

thanks, Sue #47122067

Abram and Phebe Gannon
Thanks for the photo's on the Gannon family stones, in the Sixmile Cemetery in Jennings county, IN.
I am searching for mom's family, and this is one more piece of the puzzle. I will edit the Gannon family info, when I am sure that they are all connected to my great grandmother. It all falls together, but I want to double check before I make suggestions for changes on their sites.
Thanks again for all you do for others.

# 44202630 Margaret Wheaton

Here is an obit for this lady. Plus you can see from the obit there is another daughter that can be linked to her. Margaret # 14175546 who married Joseph D. Cone -September 22, 1886 and is buried beside him in Vernon Cemetery. J. D. Cone was once Mayor of North Vernon.

Funeral services were held Monday for Mrs. Esther Ann Wheaton, age 87 years, who passed away Friday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J.D. Cone of this city with whom she made her home for the past ten years.
Mrs. Wheaton has been in ill health for the past ten years, when she lost her eye sight, making her almost an invalid. Several years ago she fell and broke her hip, from which time she had been a total invalid.
Mrs. Wheaton had devoted her entire life to religious work in the Methodist church. She was a member of the order of Eastern Star lodge.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. J.D. Cone and Mrs. Blanche Gautier of this city, and Mrs. Nina Verbarg of Elkhart, and seven grandchildren, and five great grand children.
Services were held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J.D. Cone on Jennings street Monday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. A. L. Meredith, pastor of the First M.E. church of this city. Interment in the Hill Crest cemetery.

William h. Carroll old union cemetery
DOB for William h. Carroll is 1931-1891 not what is on the memorial. I have ancestry info if you need it. The incorrect photo (not added by you) was attached so I attached the correct photos today and the stone does read 1831-1891. Thanks!
