Bio and Links
Bio Photo A cemetery is not a place just to bury the dead. It should be a sacred place for quiet reflection, peace, tranquility, honor, and remembrance. It is a history of people and a perpetual record of yesterday.

Love begins with a smile...grows with a kiss...and ends with a teardrop....

I will not use chalk, shaving cream, brake fluid or any other potentially harmful methods to enhance the inscriptions. Please do not use these on any photo requests I make, Thank You.

Although FINDAGRAVE can be very useful for genealogy, FINDAGRAVE as the name implies is a grave registration site not a genealogy site. I try to use this as my guide when on this site.

I will NOT add a link to a burial unknown memorial, because I am still actively looking for where the person is actually buried. This site is named Find a GRAVE for a reason.

Please do not request to add a birth date calculated from the gravestone, unless the complete age is known or listed (y/m/d). Dates that do not agree with the gravestone will be placed in the bio section. Thank You.

I Gary Boughton give you permission to use any photo I have taken if you are kind enough to give me credit for the photo, Thank You. (Everyone likes to recognized for their effort) Thanks Again.

Loretta Boughton
I transferred both Loretta and her daughter to you. If you go to Copake to visit the grave, start your search nearest the church, where the oldest graves are. Be forewarned that many of the oldest stones are very dark and hard to read. Happy hunting

Just noticed you not only did the tombstone picture of Solomon Mead, but you did the picture of his wife Eunice Gilbert and then Enoch Milan Mead's wife Elizabeth Hoe Mead. They are Amazing pictures! Thank you so much. I tell definitely say you have made some people VERY happy today. They have never seen these stones before, and didnt even know they were still there.
Thank you again for your kindness and your special talent taking these pictures.

Thank you for the tombstone picture of Enoch Milan Mead
Dear Gary Boughton -

When I was doing a DAR application for a woman who was a descendant of Enoch Mead and his son Solomon Mead and then His Son Enoch Milan Mead, there were Cemetery records in the Westchester Historical Society and "the Clara Mead Papers", with letters to and from Enoch Milan Mead. None of these people were listed on findagrave but they were all in the cemetery records with alot of information on these people in the Mead Family.
Thank You so much for taking this picture of Enoch Milan Mead's stone. Can you tell me what it says on the stone? I cannot read the whole thing that is written on the stone. If you are going back there, I just put in a request for his father Solomon Mead. I believe his mother Eunice Gilbert Mead is also buried there and his wife Elizabeth. It is amazing that this little cemetery has been missed by people. I am very excited to tell this woman who is 80 years old that her ancestors picture is now on findagrave. Thank you again and it is much appreciated.

RE: Re MaryStarr
Thank you. I didn't put it into words very well. I guess you figured out what I meant. :-) Thank you for taking the time to explain the 2 Wooster Cem.s to me. That helps a lot. Thank you for the work you have put into F-A-G.

RE: Your Merge Cemeteries Question
Ahhh...I didn't know. Sorry. I just noticed that the same people were listed in both cemeteries. I did read your note about burials being moved to a different cemetery. I was trying to locate my ancestor Joseph Starr (b1727) and was a bit confused when I saw duplicates. :-)

Claudia Lewis
Rhoda and Jachim Bouton (Boughton)
Hello Gary.....my name is Claudia (Bedford) Lewis
I live in Frankfort, MI. (Email: lewispc2@charter.net)

My 4th gt grandparents above : Rhoda and Jachim(sp. ?)

Their daughter, Elizabeth (Betsy) married a Walter Miller in Fairfield or New Canaan and after
his death in 1846 she moved with 5 children to Beaver Island,
Michigan joining the King James Jesse Strang Mormon
colony there. She was then married to Bishop George W. Miller who had 3 other wives.. Upon the assassination of the "King", I have lost track of Betsy. She either went to San Bernedino,CA with son George Bouton Miller and died there
or died around 1850 after his birth. Perhaps you would be able
to provide additional info. Betsy's five children by Walter were
Lewis Miller (b.4/21/1833, New Canaan),Ruth Ann Miller (b.
11/30/1834 Westchester County,NY, my 2nd gt grandmother),
Mary Jane Miller (b. 5/12/1886 Westchester Co.),Harrison B.
Miller (b. 11/22/1838 Westchester Co.) and Charles R. Miller
(b. 9/12/1839 New Canaan, CN)
Family members have tried unsuccessfully to find "Walter"
Miller's lineage although a records office did have files on
Betsy and Walter (New Canaan or Westchester Cnty)
Thank you so much , Claudia
