Bio Photo My wife & I have been photographing cemeteries for several years now. We started just as a way to help document our family research, but with digital cameras and memory being so cheap, we thought we might as well take as many photos as we could since we were out there anyway and not everyone can make the trip to visit the graves of their loved ones.

Hughes Cemetery
Jason, on 24 May 2005, you posted two photos of the Hughes Cemetery in St. Francis County, Arkansas. Are these photos of two different entrances to the same cemetery? They do not appear to two photos of the same gate.

I also noticed that the cemetery is listed as being in or close to the town of Hughes, Arkansas. However, the map that is linked takes me to a cemetery that is just east of Caldwell, Arkansas and is associated with a Presbyterian church. Is the linked map correct for the photos that you have added?

Once I understand the actual location, I would like to contact Find A Grave to see if it could be changed to a listing as being the Hughes Cemetery, Caldwell, St. Francis County, Arkansas as that appears to me to be more accurate.

I appreciate seeing the photos you have taken.

Re:Emily & Smiley Graham
I also see where you were the photographer for the two stones in the cemetery. I appreciated the ones that are showing but do you ever make it to this particular cemetery any more. If so is it possible to get a closer photo of the stones. They are hard to read the info on them and when I have to send in to national they need to be clearly legible for them to read from the photo not what I have written. Thank you. Jean

Re:Emily Brockett wife of Smiley Graham
I see where there is info that says there is an obit. Do you by any chance have the original of that obit. I am working on an application to the DAR and they require the original obit instead of the kind on the memorial. Do you have info on this line besides the obit? Thanks in advance. Jean

Who owns this cemetery? We live next to it, and we like to clear the brush, vines, and weeds,

John Wilson Black

The problem is that this is not John Wilson Black but John Wesley Black who married Sarah C Jordan. I am still trying to track down John Wilson Black's gravestone in Denning Cemetery. John Wilson Black died of injuries sustained in the 1925 Tri-State Tornado when he was visiting his daughter, Lillie, in Franklin County.

RE: Deming Cemetery!
If facing the Church of Christ church go to your right (north) one mile. On the left (same side of church) up on a hill in the woods is the cemetery. It is on private property. You cannot see it from the road. Co-ordinance are: 35.052484 x -88.707552. There is a gate on the private property with the address of 2275 Cypress Tank. The cemetery is about 2000 feet north of this gate. Hope that this helps you!

Debora Hill Nichols
Memorial # 8167824 (Rev. James Hill)
Hi Jason,

I was looking at James Hill's memorial and saw the questions about his parents. I was wondering if you are related to him or if someone else had asked that the questions be asked? I am researching his brother, John William A. Hill, who I believe is my grandfather. I thought maybe if you are related it may help us both get some answers.

Thank you,
Debora Hill Nichols
