Bio and Links
Bio Photo My wife & I have been photographing cemeteries for several years now. We started just as a way to help document our family research, but with digital cameras and memory being so cheap, we thought we might as well take as many photos as we could since we were out there anyway and not everyone can make the trip to visit the graves of their loved ones.

Richard Richmond Terrell, Find A Grave Memorial# 12655014
Although the phrase "etched in stone" is assume factual. Richard R. Terrell, Find A Grave Memorial# 12655014, 27 January 1871 birth year, etched on his grave headstone, is wrong. Richard is the son of Madrid J., with several variations; AKA Maldred A. and Madderd and Martha Jane Gregory Terrell. He is the husband of Elizabeth J. Bradford Terrell, AKA Virginia and Eliza his second wife who he shares the headstone. In the 1880 Madison County, Alabama census Richmond is found with his first wife, 18 year old Antoillettie MNU and James, a three year old adopted son. Antoillettie and James were born in Michigan. Richard is listed as being born in 1854. In the 1900 census he is listed as married, but Antoillettie or James are NOT living with him; date of birth Jan 1855. His mother, Martha Jane Gregory Terrell, is living with him as a widow. However, her husband Madrid is living in 1880 Decatur Alabama as divorced. In the 1920 Monrovia, Madison County, Alabama Richard is listed as 64 years and living with Eliza J. and children Willie, John, Richmond, Lucy J., Hattie, Gracie, and Frony and 88 year old mother Martha. Maybe a consideration to offer as an explanation to remove confusion for those researching Richard.

Thank you Jason. We will be coming back to Jackson County and just gather as much Information as we can. When the librarian handed me the Bethel Church minutes records I was flabbergasted. But we did not have time to stay.

I need to know where Bethel Cemetery is located. Thank you. I saw many Presley's in the Cedar Hill cemetery as we walked around and I thought of you. God bless

Ref:Charlotte Cobb Worley
Hi Jason, I have a request, if possible. Is there a Grave Marker for Charlotte Cobb Worley, Memorial #113070592 in Cobb Cemetery? If there is one, a photo would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

E Pulley - Memorial #9757133
Mr. Presley - Thank you so much for the work you & your wife so generously share here. Two things: First, the headstone for E E Pulley in your memorial #9757133 actually upon close examination reads "F E Pulley". This is the headstone for Effie (VanLandingham) Pulley, wife of Lindsey Anderson "Dobie" Pulley, and dau. of my g-grandparents, Jason V. VanL. and Martha Jane "Mattie" (Moore) VanL. Second, I would like to request a transfer of management of this memorial to my account. If you would be so generous as to do that, my contributor # is 47992943, and it would be much appreciated. Cordially, Yvonne

RE: Grandmother, Emma Presley, Wilson
Hello Jason -
Yes, Grandmother Emma is confirmed being buried in Mt. Pleasant by family members years ago. Her grave was found many, many years ago by my mother. I don't know how it was discovered. When my granddaddy remarried, he didn't take my mother and her brother to the cemetery anymore, as I understand,so time erased most of the memories - too bad on that. I wish the cemetery had a map of the graves.

Thanks so very much for all your info.

Granville Vaughan --- 1871-1952
Hi Jason,

Thank you so much for the work you and your wife so graciously share with all of us. It has been priceless to my family and me.

The information shared here is intended to help you and other members of the Vaughan family in Hardeman County, Tennessee. William Vaughan (01 Mar 1839 -- 07 Feb 1908) is my g-g-grandfather. He is not the father of Granville Vaughan.

After a few phone calls, I located and spoke with the granddaughter of Granville Vaughan. She shared the names of Granville's father and mother: George Peters Vaughan and Juda Catherine Crowley Vaughan. They are both buried at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Hardeman County, the same cemetery as William. Their headstones read: G.P. Vaughan - 19 Apr 1842-16 Jan 1921 CSA, and Mrs. G.P. Vaughan - 1 Apr 1868-10 Sept 1935.

I hope this information will be of assistance to other people searching their Vaughan relatives. Thank you again for all you do.

J.B.

RE: Grandmother, Emma Presley, Wilson
Oh, Jason, thank you for your information that you were so kind to send about my grandmother Emma Presley Wilson. Too bad we still don't know about her death; perhaps never will. My granddaddy used to say, "she was too young to have died." It was always a void for my mother, Clarice. Loved seeing the photo; however. My granddaddy had a large photo in a frame that resembled this photo and before he passed, he gave it to my mother. My brother now has it and had it cleaned, etc., and Emma's sewing machine that my mother always had, sits below her picture. Emma made my mother's baby clothes on it and my mother always loved using it - still works as far as I know.

Jason, does Emma have a marker of any kind? My nephew has walked the cemetery and has not come across her grave as of yet. I live in Texas and don't get to Tenn. too often.

Loved the info and hearing from you.
