RE: Patrick Connor
Sorry it's not what you wanted. It is the stone on the plot in the memorial you requested. Someone on Ancestry says the one (I think) you want is in the Utah Cemetery in Athens County Ohio. They don't give a source for that cemetery but there are a couple of other Connors buried there. Good luck with your search.

Best regards,
Wade Davis

RE: Edith Hager
Edith was almost like another mother to me. she had gone with me to visit my Mother. Mom always had sewing for me to do, Mom started in on what sewing she wanted me to do, when Edith spoke up and told Mom that i was a busy person too!
I wanted for Mom to explode when she said to Edith i know she does and I would appreciate her fixing these things.
Edith was always there to help- she enjoying watching me decorate cakes and having them at her house was far safer than mine with kids and dogs.
Shirley moved to Arizona not long after Edith dies.
I have not been to the cemetery yet- but i have to be out and about tomorrow and will do it then.
Do you have either of the obits for Edith or Ivy?
As I can get those while i am out.

RE: Edith Hager
i knew sister-in-laws like Inez Lesh, Ivy Rolland, and another one that lives in Lenora, the two above are deceased.
She was a wonderful person and neighbor- she was allergic to roses- and i had roses on the east side of my house she said she could see how pretty they were without the odor.
I have her bedroom set and her clock.
I have lost track of her daughter that moved to Arizona.
This daughter had a daughter that was a Dr of Peds.
Which sister are you referring to.
I was with her the night she died- one of the hardest jobs I have ever had- telling her that Shirley said for me to tell her."Mom i can not get back before you leave us, its okay to die, I love you."
So you see i have known a wonderful person.

Jim
you're welcome
no, i'm not a descendant. i am not even that interested in my own family's genealogy (yet). for me, it started in the same cemetery that Fernando is in. its one of the oldest cemeteries in our immediate area and kind of out of the way. there is a civil war vet buried there that has an interesting headstone. it was around vet'ns day last year but he didnt have a flag... i did a little research and found out about him. after that i was hooked... everyone has a story... unfortunately, many are being lost.

Just posted the pictures
Hi Sandy -

Yes - it looks like you got everything right!! The reason I had you change the cemetery is because I almost created a memorial for him when I first took the pictures. Before posting I always check to see I am in the correct cemetery. Thats when I found out that there were 2 and saw that you had already created one.

Yes, I would move all of the other family members to that location as well. I've sent notification to the other folks that set up memorials on that cemetery and asked that they move them over.

I've been contributing to this site for about a year and that seems like the only issue that causes much confusion. Another cemetery in Athens County has 4 entries!!

Ok, so now you need to add Levina and you should be set. Once she gets added, link the two memorials together by listing one as the others' spouse. Once you type the spouse info in (using the memorial #) for one memorial, it will show up (link) to the other memorial.

After adding Levina, please click on the photo tab and click request photo. That will send all us photo takers an alert that you need a photo (it also gives us "special credit" for fulfilling a request) :) I will be ahead of the rest because I already have the photo and I'll post it.

And last... it seems you may have a mystery on your hands concerning Fernando's year of birth. The gov't stone says 1838 but his headstone says 1940. Just thought I'd point that out if you didn't see it. When I posted the pics, I also typed the inscription in the caption so you could see it better. There is not much contrast between the lettering and the stone.

Hope this helps -

Jim
