Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born and raised in Doland, South Dakota and graduated from Doland High School in 1975. After graduation I enlisted in the Marine Corps and continued on active duty until my retirement in 2005. Doland is once again my home.
I have been the President of the Doland Cemetery Association since 2007 and can provide digital copies of burial certificates and other limited information for persons buried at Doland. I am also interested in receiving/sharing information and pictures of anyone or anything associated with Doland, SD.

Do you know if they died in Viet Nam? I've left some flowers, but I don't want them to be inaccurate. 30193500=Ted, 30193488=Al
Thanks for your help. You have done a great job on the Doland Cemetery and searching out the veterans. I used to live in Doland and always thought I might end up there-I miss it!

memorial #34163195 and 47703679
I have been trying to find the telephone number because these 2 people are the same. I do not think that their remains were transferred to the other cemetery. At least, I would not think so but I would like to find out for sure. I have a feeling the remains are in Irving and someone purchased new markers in Frankfort.

I would like to find out who purchased the lots and markers and if the remains were moved. Can you help me out at all on contact info.

Thank you for all you do. It is wonderful.

William Ira Alger
Do you have documented proof that "William" was Ira's given name? Your Memorial is the only site that refers to him as William Ira Alger.
A response would be appreciated.
Thanks

I see you have misread one of the memorials. This as it is difficult to read. This young girl was my great aunt. Her name is Esther Seidschlag. Her father was Reinhard Paul "Ren" Seidschlag and her mother was Hedwig Albertine "Hattie" Gore Seidschlag. They lived near Doland at the time of the death of their daughter. Thanks for making a correction. Jon M. Zarneke

Transfer
Thank you for transferring Hazel Kirk Graham to me. She is my Grandmother.
Thank you for the service you gave us through serving in the military.
I was in Doland years ago, my Dad was a spray pilot up there around Mansfield and Aberdeen area. I rode along and watched my half brothers flag for him. His name was Chuck Lefforge and he was killed in a plane accident. I have eight half brothers and two half sisters living up there yet. Chuck and his third wife, Shirley, are buried next to Hazel Kirk and Andy Graham.
Thanks again,
Patty Lefforge Onek
