Hi, a cousin has recently transferred Woodrow W. Cole memorial to me (I am a GG-niece). Anyway I noticed that you added the photo of his headstone to his memorial w/comment "Thanks to Jeane and George for helping us find the graves." So I was wondering if you are family or friend? Since you a service man as well, I was wondering if you might know what the "FI" initial on his headstone means (?fireman I). Thanks -sabrina

I appreciate it. Those Irish are hard to track down. I have been in contact with staff at the church there, St. Mary of the Lake, trying to get specific information from their burial records, but they are not very helpful and in fact refuse to allow anyone to look at their records. I wish they were like some other churches I have encountered who encourage genealogists to use records for their research. Maybe someday this will happen at SMOTL.

Thanks so much for all the pictures you took for me in the Columbus cemetery. This one was of my cousin's headstone.
