Old Hardy Cemetery
The Old Hardy Cemetery that I know is in Grenada County, Mississippi near the little village of Hardy MS. It is also called the Bowles Cemetery. This cemetery is located on family land on Thomas property in Beat 4 on North Archie Jackson Rd. I have several family members buried there Henry C. Carpenter and his daughter, Eula . My great great grandfather and my great grand aunt who passed away at 11 years of age. This Cemetery has been here since the Civil War because my Great great Great Grandfather Randolph McCreary was buried here dying from measles in Grenada MS in the Civil War.

Meek ancestors
I see you are maintaining Virginia Tennessee Meek's memorial.

We have some Meek ancestors in common, it would seem. I am James Alexander Meek's great great granddaughter from his first marriage to Mary Emily Conner.

Hello, I have a question. There is a cemetery - Old Hardy Cemetery. There is a tombstone there for N.C. Carpenter wife of Henry Carpenter. There is no death date on the stone. Do you have any suggestions as to how to go about getting this death date. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Charles,

We are fourth Cousins 2X Removed. It looks like we connect at Henry Alexander Carr (1783-1842). I didn't have you in my records, only a Thomas Dawkins b1929. Are there others?

Best Regards,
