Family history has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I started taking pictures of headstones before we had the luxury of digital cameras---oh my, I am dating myself!! |
As I have explored and stomped cemeteries, now with my digital camera, I am working to refine some initial photos. While stomping for family headstones, I have taken pictures of names that have been seen in my genealogy database. In many cases, I have made contact with distant relatives and always enjoy hearing from them.

|Laura Sireci Roman||RE: John Wysocki|
Hi Kathy, my finger slipped on that last post I meant to type 1878 for John's birth date. Thanks again for any help you can offer. And if it would help to look at a tree, I have one posted here: http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/12217535/person/-305642835 It is public, so hopefully you'll be able to see it.

I m noticing a bunch of different Wysocki's that you have either added or taken pictures of. I am searching for my great grandfather John Wysocki. He was born on 29 August 1879 in Poland (was Russia at time of immigration per paperwork). My mother said he died a few years before she was born in 1950. So I'm kinda going out on a limb here, but have you come across any John Wysocki's that died sometime in the 40's during your grave stomping? Thanks again!
|Laura Sireci Roman||Bruno R Wysocki & Blanche Oulicky|
I found my great uncle Bruno's memorial page that you posted, and first off I want to say THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I am wondering if you might be related to that family at all, or if it was just a headstone you might have photographed along your way. If you are related I would love to chat about the family! I have a bunch of information I would love to add to both his memorial page (#67881454) and his wife, Blanche Helen Oulicky Wysocki's memorial page(67881442) as well, but I don't want to overwhelm you as I see you manage a lot of memorials. I you're not related, feel free to transfer them to me so I don't overwhelm you with the info I'd like to add. Thanks again for all your hard work! I'm sure I'm not the only one who appreciates it!!!
Thank you so much for the added information for the Krolak family, I really appreciate it!

I am writing the first book from the American point of view about 19th century rotunda panoramas.These were the biggest paintings in the world,50 x 400=20,000 square feet, housed in their own rotundas which were 16-sided polygons. Chicago in 1893 had 6 panorama companies and 6 panorama rotundas. I have a photo of Oliver Dennett Grover. Info to share.
