Please when you use the photos that are posted, on ancestry or another public website, give credit to the person who took the photo, not just me, but all who volunteer to help document your ancestry and your roots. It's just good manners and a way of saying thanks! Please do not post elsewhere.

And please think TWICE before posting information about living people.

Please if you want me to add links or make corrections, send me the memorial # for the person and proof of the connection. I can't just make connections because you say this is what you think. Thank you for understanding.

Henry Cummins
What a mess!!! I deleted my memorial #23725758, Lucinda Jane (Casey) Cummins.

I also transferred Henry Cummins to you.

I decided to let you make the other changes since your information seems more accurate than mine. Like you, I want to try to get the right information.

Pls. feel free to transfer if you want to the person that put up pictures. Im not related to the parents of Ella. My Purdy connection was with Mary Purdy Crail's direct family. Also thanks for draft info on George Purdy. You really are dedicated! Take it easy . kaaren (mia's GM)

Valentine's family
Valentine was my gr-grandfather through Helen Mary Scofield. Valentine Alexander and Anna Anita(Moyer) according to my Mother's writing of family history, had nine children, of whom only three lived to adulthood. Orval Valentine, Helen Mary and Lura Alice. She recounts the sad deaths of many of them and I have pictures of a few. Sincerely, BJM

I was looking for all of your numbers up there
And could not find them! I know I talked to a couple of you girls.

Who was the one who was volunteering with that historical society again.

It has been a while...huh!

With that winter vortex splitting up north it brought the cold down with a furor...burr.

Hello my good friend!
Info transferred are things going up your way? It has been cold cold cold this winter for us in the South...burrrrr!

I wanted to give all of you a call up that way again. Hope to get up to Pendleton County sometime this summer or fall.

Hope all is well!

RE: sources
I'm a stickler for documentation too, so I understand your hesitancy in adding unproven documentation. I've been lucky to have had some wonderful teachers in my early days of genealogy (back in the 1980s), who took me under their wing and showed me how much could be found by visiting the courthouses and churches involved in our family's history. I feel these armchair genealogists of today have very little understanding of the records used to prove and support what they claim, and they're really missing out. I use records from a lot of unusual sources too, business records, societal records (both German and Anglo), and so on. Sometimes you really have to think outside the box. Hope all is well with you. :)
