I have such a passion for this website that I NEVER feel like I wasted my time. No need for apologies.

If I don't find the headstone or location it saddens me but I was taught to capture miscellaneous headstones while I am at the cemeteries which I do. Now that I am retired I am even happier knowing I can go to the cemeteries whenever I want.

If you ever need any more...I have my shoes on and am ready to go......

Happy Trails!

RE: Jacoby / Jacobi family
Looking through your memorials, I noticed a few from St Matthias Cemetery in Milwaukee. Are you in the Milwaukee area?

Franz & Margaretha Jacobi are buried there as well as many Palmersheims.

You may have already seen this, if not, here's a link to a website about the cemetery:

St Matthias isn't far from where I live (outer suburb of Milwaukee). I could probably go there in the next few weeks sometime to take pictures. Just let me know which memorials you need pictures of.

RE: Jacoby / Jacobi family
My Public Tree on is 'Kroening Family Tree'. On it I do have information on your Jacoby family down to your grandfather, Jack. We have probably connected via Ancestry at some point.

I agree - we probably are on the same page with our research. Although, I wasn't able to find your tree on It must be Private.

My records don't yet include the burial information on your line of the Jacobi family. I'll use what you have posted on this site to update my records.

RE: Jacoby / Jacobi family
Yes, I am related. Franz & Margaretha are also my 3rd Great Grandparents. Their daughter, Eva Marie Jacobi & her husband Anton Nickel are my 2nd Great Grandparents. Their son, Peter P Nickel & his wife Mary Frances Pilz are my Great Grandparents. Their daughter LaJune Marie Nickel & her husband William Charles Kroening are my grandparents.

I do have quite a bit of research on the family. I've mostly focused on my direct line but do have some information on the other relatives.

I'll start putting together the information I have on the family for you. Make sure everything is up-to-date. In the meantime, e-mail ( me if you have any specific questions.

RE: Lichter
Thank you for the Lichter grave photos. I am very grateful for your efforts.

Yes, I would accept maintenance of the Charlotte Lichter memorial. I didn't have any clue when she died. Thanks!

RE: August & Ida Becker
Hi Angel! You're Welcome and I'm so glad I could help you. I've already transferred them to your care since I'm not related. You should know that there is also a Ralph Becker and Greta Beck buried there too so I'm sure they're related. When I couldn't find any info about Greta on, I noted who she was buried next to. Ralph's memorial belongs to someone else. I'm not thrilled about the photo I posted (it was the best one I had and those types of stones are sometimes hard to photograph) but please feel free to use it if you have an online tree. I can also go back there if you want some more pics or area shots, just let me know. Again, glad I could help. Have a great day! Stacey
