I'm sorry - should have given the memorial # when I contacted you. I was looking at Noah Ford, memorial # 91504204 , whose stone was erected by the society in 1998. Way too complicated to involve anyone not really into it, but I believe there is a connection between that Wm whose son William Minor Ford was b VA & moved to Wintersett IA, Jared Pierce Ford who was b PA & went from Decatur Co Ind to Wintersett IA, William Ford who was b VA & d. Decatur Co Ind and who named a son William Pierece Ford, and my husband's g-g-g grandpa John Ford who was b 1801 KY, went to Decatur Co Ind to start Methodist Church w/ Jared Pierce and then moved to MO. I doubt you want to work on that one, but you can see why I'm looking at anything that might help me fill in some big gaps! Regardless, thank you for responding..

Charles Barton was married to my grandfather's first cousin. My interest is in his and her immediate family and descendants as they fit into my Kentucky Kissick/McKissick research.
As far as Paul families in Kentucky, I doubt there is a connection to my Paul family. They trace from Vermont to Ohio, then to Kansas, and later to Oregon.

Thank you for the photo of Walter Jenkins grave. This is my step-daughter's great grandfather. I can't wait to show it to her.

I have been checking for John's headstone frequently and decided enough time has elapsed to bug the cemetery staff.
What I found was that, a) the stone was never ordered, b) it can't be ordered just now because with the beginning of the fiscal year they haven't received their allocation of funds yet and, c) even when it can be ordered it is an tortured process involving several layers of Federal bureaucracy. Apparently, it has to be done by someone other than whoever does the contemporary headstones.
I will stay on top of this until we reach a satisfactory conclusion or I die, whichever comes first.
