Consort and relic refer to a spouse, usually to women. A consort is a husband or wife of a living spouse. A relic is a widow.

latitude and longitude
To add latitude and longitude, click on Edit Plot.

If you leave a space before the values, an error message, "values are not the correct format", will be returned.

Be sure to include the - for the longitude, otherwise the person will be buried in China.

If you download Google Earth (it is free software) and put in the search box the latitude and longitude (for example 38.7338, -86.48588), it will take you to the grave area.

I use Google Earth to find the latitude and longitude. I type in the latitude and longitude for the graveyard and then adjust the numbers until the pointer is on the gravestone.

Donald Eugene Smither (1937 - 1938)
This child is related to Albert and Lenora Smither but he is not a son they are his grandparents. I am not 100% sure who he belongs to but I will find out and let you know. So please delete him as my grandparents son.

Thank You
Darla (Smithers)Ballenger
Daughter of Walter Albert Smithers

P.S. I would like to know where you got the info on my father because a lot of it is wrong too and I would like it changed also.

Hi RabbitTrack,

Thanks a million for your photo for Hoyt Massey.
I wish others had your sense of photo composition for the gravestones and the order in which you place them on the memorial.

These soldiers from World War I are forgotten unless we bring their memory forward.

All the best, Dan

RE: Sgt Roy W. Barton (1892-1918)
Terrific! Thx so much!

Roy's father David turned out to be John David Barton who was always enumerated as John or John D. Barton. Problem solved thanks to you! Gary

Marcus L Johnson
You have just solved a mystery I have been working on for two years. Marcus L and Mary Johnson are my 2x great grandparents. Their son Henry J Johnson was my great grandfather. During the early fifties grandpa moved back to Mitchell to try his hand at farming again. I spent many summers at that farm. I found his old farm two summers ago and spent some time in Orange and Lawrence Counties looking for records. I could find very little information on Marcus and Mary after 1900. Thank You you have filled a big whole in my genealogy research. The search continues! Trying to find the farm the Johnson's had in the late 1800's in Orleans,Orange County IN.

CRAWFORD
I will remove the following:
Israel Crawford #74771689
Forrest Crawford # 74771687

I have absolutely no idea who they are other than they were on the "original" Lawrence county cemetery lists that many of us use :)

Thanks for the "heads up"

If I find them I will let you know.
