I am a cemetery researcher/historian who has spent almost 20 years documenting burials with my wife in Medina County, Ohio while working with the Medina County Cemetery Preservation Society. Activities include the recording of the tombstones in all of the cemeteries in the county, taking archival quality digital photos of the tombstones, deed research, and working with local officials to reconstruct cemetery records. "Preservation Through Documentation."|
If you are looking for someone buried in Medina County, Ohio then let me know.
Any of the photos that I have posted here are free for anyone to use. Great time and effort was taken to try and get READABLE headstone photos so please do me the courtesy of giving proper credit as the photographer.

|James Bianco||Allen C. Mather # 61894044|
Hello and thank you for Allen's memorial. I have just photographed the headstone of his parents and siblings in Northampton, Ma. and have sent edits to complete his full name (Allen Colton Mather) as well as his birth date and parental links. Info came from VR Northampton Massachusetts & The Kellogg Genealogy p. 772. Jim

Thank for your quick response on the updates on the memorial also
|PJ Stebbins||Frederick Jones|
I found a Frederick jones from. Lafayette Twp, medina Co in the 1840 census but he was between 40 and 49 years old so obviously not born in 1751. This Frederick does not appear in the 1850 census in Medina Co. So had either moved on or was deceased. Could not find him in earlier census in Medina Co. I also tried to find a Frederic(k) Jones in the DAR database but could not locate one matching born around 1751 and serving from NY. I also tried to find an Ancestry.com family tree that might have him listed with no luck. So in other words, I am really not much help in solving your mystery, but if I ever come across anything I will let you know.
|PJ Stebbins||RE: Stebbins question|
Mrs Harry Stebbins was my Grandmother. Frederick Jones is not a direct ancestor of mine. My grandmother was a Simmons. One of her Simmons aunts married a Jones but I am not aware of any Frederick as a descendant and I have not researched that line back to know if there was ever a Frederick. Let me know if I can be of any further help.

I accepted your edit. But, it still looks like 18 y, not 48 y--especially on your photo.
