Found this poem while researching through newspapers; it was published in the Rockford Journal; Rockford, Illinois; Saturday, March 2, 1872; p. 2.|
Closed are the laughing eyes,
Beneath their curtains fair,
And round a marble brow,
Soft lies the silken hair.
Stilled are the little hands,
That clasp our own no more,
And still two little feet,
That played around our door.
A little voice is hushed,
That we had learned to love,
And now its music sweet,
The angels hear above.
When first the baby come,
We asked for her God's care,
And He hath sent His love,
An answer to our prayer.
Our Father took her home,
Up to His mansion fair;
We surely could not ask,
More tender, loving care.
And yet we loved her so,
'Twas hard to have her go
To seek a fairer land,
And leave us still below.
We know she'll not return,
But in that fairer home,
The little girl we love,
Will wait for us to come.

I was wondering if you have a familial relation to Gladys Eidenier? Thank you for making the Find A Grave site for her! She was my GGrandfathers sister. If you revisit her site I have added all of her family including her parents, who were my GGGrandparents! Any chance you could transfer management over to me?
Thanks for your consideration!

You have in the memorial narrative "Roy and Helen married in Boone County, during 1920."
What is your source and could you share it?

Obsessive, posted marker photos for her and her husband. Have another marker photo for I believe her son named after probably her father Ben. Have not created a memorial for the child as of yet. BJ

I am writing with regard to the posting for Hulda Alden Bjork (Find A Grave Memorial# 163787327). I would be interested in where you found this information, but I am pretty confident that it is actually Hilda Bjork, not Hulda. In any event, I am very interested in the information provided and the calculated relationships on the page. I am a relative trying to learn more information.

Hi - Thank you for the edits...just wondering where you found his place of birth. Mortuary records in Calaveras County show that he was born in Ludwig, Nevada which is a ways from Reno. Just checked an obit on Family Search that shows Ludwig also. Appreciate any new info about Reno. Thanks so much. Regards.

Hello! Mary was my 3rd great-grandmother, and I am from the last surviving branch of their whole lineage. May I please have the management rights to her profile? I would greatly appreciate it. I have studied her extensively and have much to add. Thank you for all your hard work!
