Since retiring from the fire service, providing grave information and photos has become a passion. If you know of any mistake, please let me know and I will correct it. I will also transfer management of your ancestors to you if you wish. |
Some info is from transcribed county records.

Jasper is my uncle and I have his dates of birth and death, and some other info for him. Would you be willing to transfer him to me?
Also, thank you for your service in the fire service. One of my brothers was a firefighter, my Dad and other brother were auxiliary firefighters, and I have a nephew who is a lieutenant on the Cambridge, MA FD and a cousin who is a captain on the Boston FD.

Hi, Thanks for accepting all the corrections and no Headstone updates that I have sent for the Hamtown Cemetery. I was there 3 times and photographed all the names Ham, Chronister, Henry,
and Hood and a few other specific names just because. If you have been to this cemetery you know there are many, many graves with no markers or only stones with no names. I spoke with the lady who now cares for the records and she said there was no mapping of the cemetery except for what she has done recently. Anyway, thanks again and If I can help with anything let me know

# 69338331 I posted a photo to this memorial that says Elmer Hood. He is buried in an area where several of the Hood family are buried. His headstone is next to Eva Stockdale (I'm assuming a sister). Behind him is a space and to the left of that space is Icy Hood, wife of Roy Elmer Hood. Since they are not together I choose posting the photo to E. M. Hood as I did not find a marker for Roy. There are no dates on the marker I posted. I also found none for Maud, Elmer's wife, nor a listing for her on find a Grave. Please let me know if you agree or disagree

Memorial # 69077132 You show her being the daughter of Clarence and Hannah. I didn't find a death certificate for her or a marker or headstone. I did find a marker and a death certificate for Elsie M. Morse daughter of Clarence and Hannah Chronister Morse. Is it possible this is the same child. See memorial 145677957 I posted for Elsie M. Morse. If It is let me know. You could do a name correction and I could delete mine and add the photo to yours.

Hello. Would you please transfer my Grandfather's Memorial to me? Broadus Arch McCoy - Memorial # #95881008. Although I've only been on this site for a few months, I already know the time and dedication it takes to do what you do. Thank you so very much.

Hello GA Firefighter,
Vannie was married to William Lee McCart First. Her maiden name is Thomas. With the marker reading McCart, I do not know whether it should be changed or not, Maybe a note on the Memorial would do.
You place a note on the Memorial that says she was 99 years and 11 months old, it should read 98 years, 11 months.
Thank you for your work on Find A Grave. I see you everywhere.
Hope you and yours had a great Easter. Have a great day,
Thank you so much for the transfer and most of all thank you so much for your time and dedication for making this possible. God Bless you !!
