Bio and Links
Bio Photo I love Find-a-Grave. What a great tool for genealogists.

My current project - photographing the cemeteries closest to my part of southeast Georgia. I'm also very slowly gathering obituaries at my local library and posting them. They contain so much information.

I hope my efforts are providing information for people who, like me, don't have physical access to the burial place of their relatives.

If you find I've opened a memorial page in Find-a-Grave for your relative and would like me to transfer management to you - just make your request using the "Edit" tab on the memorial page for the person you wish me to transfer.

Your pictures are amazing - they tell a story. It is great to have several photos of the headstones, esp when a really close closeup is needed to compliment the "full size" picture. The pictures of the plot showing the layout and headstones completes the story. Your series of photos are worth a thousand words - thank you.

My dads grave...
Thank you so much for what you do. It just came to me today that I wanted to know if I could find where my dads ashes were buried. I am so grateful that one day, I might actually be able to visit. Though I was able to attend his services prior to cremation, I was not able to attend the burial that took place some time later, as I lived in California at the time. Being the youngest of four children, I always felt a deep connection with my dad, all throughout childhood, where my daddy went, I wanted to be right there. It was a double edged sword when I moved to California because I couldn't see him as often but, was able to call him every day, sometimes, two or three times a day.
Though he's been gone for almost 18 years, it still hurts that he's gone. I know he is at peace and in no more pain.
Again, thank you

little note
I wanted to add, some people fuss about this on findagrave-adding additional info. But I know some people who can't afford or aren't good at using it and even though I have been using it for 7 years, there are a lot of holes that only findagrave fills. For some people, this is as close as they will get to a genealogy site so that is why I add so much to bios when I can. It is also why someone like you-a frequent photographer-is so great!

Lees in Corinth Leefield Cemetery
Thanks so much for all you do. I have some missing kids (1920's) whose mom died in my family tree and even though I knew they should have been in Bulloch Co., I could never ever find out what happened to them. But I just saw their grandmother's (Elmira Lee)tombstone photo that you added so now I know who she remarried and I found the grandkids with her and her new husband. If you hadn't taken that photo, it would have remained a mystery. So thanks again for all of the time you take to add photos for Bulloch County. I am about 12 hours away so I can only go once every other year or so.
I am always happy to get any pages for Bulloch County and would be happy to manage any if you get too many. I don't want to be a pain and ask for a page that you made that is only a cursory relative unless you prefer- it if that makes sense. If you want to give me any of my relatives' pages instead of me bugging you with updates, that would be great. Just let me know if you want me to do anything differently.
I can't add a lot of people, but I think I have figured out a lot of mysteries by "going down rabbit holes" as my husband says to solve questions other people couldn't. I just think it is nice to add that info for researchers who come along later so they don't have to spend hours trying to figure something out as well. I have about 10 Bulloch County books that some others may not have access to so I hate to not explain about a 3rd husband etc. someone may not know about.
I was about to give you info on 2 Lees in Corinth- Leefield Cemetery but just sent the transfer request instead per your message. :)

John McElveen
I am sorry...I meant Robert Thompson not Strickland. I am confusing him with my dead people. :)

John McElveen 81397077
Hi Allie,
I left you a correction request/addition about Martha McElveen but I wanted to explain about her husband. There were two John McElveens in my family born in Bulloch County. Robert Strickland accidentally gave you the death info for the other one and you have it on your page.
John I McElveen born in Bulloch County, June 1847, married Martha Strickland and died at the GA State Asylum Baldwin County, GA on Feb 3, 1937. This is the page you have. Can you add this note to his page. (He was at the asylum by the 1930 census.)

The other one is John Daniel McElveen born June 1861 who married Susan Deloach. He died Feb 15, 1932. His page is #57420317. The death note Robert added goes with that guy. (Robert is usually very accurate to his credit.)
Thanks so much for fixing and maybe adding a note to your guy's bio page about where he died. Thanks so much!!
