|I have been interested in genealogy since I was a teenager. My grandmother always said her husband, my grandfather, was from Norway. It wasn't until many years later that I realized she meant Norway, NY and that his family was actually German! While, I still haven't made much progress on the Wohler family line, I have been able to go back many generations on other lines (Preston, Hodge, Grower, Woods, Baker). Many times the information was found due to someone taking the time to make a cemetery transcription or cutting an article from an old newspaper. I work full-time and have two young children (they have made numerous trips to our local cemeteries!) so most of my research is local or on-line, so getting help through F-A-G is a tremendous help. I hope to help someone by getting some photos or adding the burial record that will help someone scale their brick wall.|
I am not related to most of these memorials! I willingly transfer to reconnect them with their families.
Another great site to check out is www.fultonhistory.com.

I also edited the parent connections. The other memorial under Prescot is #98279303. This should lead to some more Prescott relatives for you. They are a couple of marriages over from one of my aunts. This should lead down to Presidents George W and George H W Bush. I started down the wrong son on the Prescott that said the Bushs were his descendants. Happy hunting.

You have two listings for the same person. One from 2013 and the other from 2012, both in the same cemetery. The 2012 has Prescot instead of Prescott, but the death dates and cemetery match. The one is memorial #107108842

Hello! I was wondering if you would allow me to attach (with appropriate credit given) your headstone photo from this memorial to my tree on Ancestry?
Thanks for considering my request. :)

While it appears that living on "Bull Hill", Fairview would have been the logical choice I found something that put him in Wheelertown on or about March 10, 2015. Unfortunately, three days later, March 13, 2015 I lost my youngest brother, Tom, at age 56 to a heart attack. He was the first to break our "family circle" of 11 siblings. Then in April I lost the father of my children. I went into a tailspin of grief that I am starting to come out of.
I seem to remember a reference to someone else buried in Wheelertown that led me to that decision. I am reviewing my files to find that tidbit of information. My family connection is through his sister, Arris. It appears yours is through his daughter, Nellie.
My sister-in-law, Joy, Tom's wife, and I have been trying since 1990 to find some documentation for Wheelertown Cemetery. I keep searching the New York State Library in Albany in hopes that I will find something other than the couple of sheets at the Herkimer Historical Society. So far no luck. I will contact you when I find that tidbit of information.
FYI- last year Joy and I photographed every visible stone in Fairview.

please provide a source to add the parents to Robert Hodge - memorials with parents from 1780's etc I won't add with out them as I get so many people who tell me so much differing info based on their Ancestry tree, myhertiage etc etc on one memorial
