Thank you so much for the transfer of my gggrandfather Wm A McCowan and the corrected information. Your time is so appreciated, it has been a great help to many who are searching for their ancestors. God bless. Gerri Brown

I just discovered what may be my great great grandfather that you entered, all the information is correct, it could apply to my gg grdf..William A. McCowan. He was born in Kentucky 1832, married to Amanda Lee Tomlinson. I have a record from the Quartermaster General, Washington, D. C. showing Pvt. Wm. A. McCowan C Company 11th Infantry Illinois, d. 15 Feb 1862. In remarks it says "originally buried-Ft Donelson, TN.
Is it possible the K is a mistake? If there is a chance of there being a mistake and it is my gggrdfather, would you mind transferring the entry to me, would be most appreciated. Look forward to hearing from you at your convenience.
