Bio and Links
Bio Photo OK..so I've been doing Find-a-Grave for a while now and have decided to change my bio a bit.

Here are my thoughts on this stuff.

Relax..enjoy what you're doing otherwise you should stop before you get too far into it. No man is an island and this certainly can't be done alone. Rather than complain about someone's work...help them with it.

TRANSFERS: I transfer on a case by case decision. If for any reason, you can't maintain the memorials I've transferred to you, I'll be more than happy to take it back...please don't ask for a transfer of group surnames.

PICTURES: If I've taken a picture or attached a document ... please help yourself...no need to give me credit. I don't need to toot my horn or have it tooted. I've added them to the memorials for everyone to use. If you want to attach a picture to my memorials that are better than mine...please do so. I welcome them, but keep in mind I might use them in Ancestry.com if they're in my family tree. MY ONLY REQUEST IS THAT MY PICTURES AREN'T LIFTED AND PLACED ONTO A DUPLICATE MEMORIAL OR MEMORIAL LISTED AS UNKNOWN....thanks again in advance.

EDITS: If there are errors in any of the memorials that I've entered please let me know. I'll be glad to correct them as well as make any changes necessary. PLEASE USE THE EDIT BUTTON.

FLOWERS: PLEASE PLEASE don't use the flower section as a place to add a bio for the memorial...that isn't where it belongs. If I happen to come across one on a memorial that I've created, I will ask you to remove it. I'll gladly add it to the bio...just send me an EDIT. If it isn't deleted in a timely amount of time I will ask edit@findagrave.com to remove it.

DUPLICATES: Duplicates happen...it's impossible not to happen. We've all created duplicates. I will gladly delete mine. Please keep in mind that some duplicate memorials are actually cenotaphs.

It's hard for me to understand that these memorials belong to any one person....I believe they belong to "all" of us.

A sincere THANK YOU to all the Find a grave volunteers for all the hard work, help and dedication that you've given me.

Good for you!
Bravo!

That's pretty much how I had it figured. Just wanted to lend some moral support.

RE: Memorial# 121514872
hi connie:

I got your message about transfer of Kenneth v. hodsdon over to me. I would appreciate it a lot if you would transfer his memorial over to me he is a close relative and I would like to keep the memorial in the family. I have a full length obituary with death notice and much much much more to add. if this is not your relative then you should be willing to trasnsfer it right over to me. a lot of people are transferring any hodsdon memorials right over to me with out a probroble. i have a hodsdon reunion coming in this summer and trying to get everything in order for it with findagrave and my genealogy books.
thanks
Robert hodsdon

RE: re: Coulombe
p.s. Lachance was his wife's maiden name, so it is his wife's parent's lot.

re: Coulombe
Thanks Connie - in my opinion it is very appropriate to have that Lachance stone there as Coulombe is definitely buried in that lot as per the cemetery office and the Lachance stone is the only marker for that entire lot. If you open up the Lachance photo you'll see my notes there. You could ask the manager of the memorial to add that explanation to the notes so it is displayed up front if you feel it is necessary.

Thanks Connie. Wow, that was from a while ago! (2011). Actually if you open up the photo of the grave with the names on it, you'll see I noted the following: "Leo Coulombe is buried in this lot according to St. Peter's Cemetery but his name does not appear on the stone."

RE: Lucy Bingham Memorial# 111341075
I have posted a new photo of the Hill family lot on her memorial at Concord.
The lot appears to be a 12-plot lot, with 4 children's headstones at the back-left and space for the parents to their right.
The monument takes up the front row, with her stone turned side-ways at the edge of the lot -- no room between it and the monument for a burial, unless it stands at her side vs. at her head.
Hers is the only one of the 7 NOT ON THE MONUMENT.
She is also the first of those memorialized in both lots to die; the next being her grandson in 1846.
MY THEORY: since she died 1839 at home in Concord; her husband never lived in Littleton; but, their son, Harry did.
The first burial in the newly opened Glenwood Cem was 1853.
Some time later, Warner's son, Harry, bought the lot in Glenwood and had her moved there & re-buried with her husband and his 2nd wife who died 1872 & 1878 (all 4 have footstone).
The original white marble headstone (no longer needed) was either kept as a cenotaph by her daughter's family OR discarded & later thought to have simply fallen & re-erected.

The stone is photo'd
West side of Hwy, near back-left
at top of hill, facing sideways.
.
if the weather is good, I hope to go there Monday and see what space there is for a second grave; may revisit the Glenwood cemetery as well for the same purpose.
