I was born and raised in Jackson County and i've lost many family members that have been buried in the Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery and the Woodland Cemetery. My parents both had 8 siblings and i thought it would be nice to have some info here for the younger kids who never met their deceased family members. This may help them with their family trees.|
I now live in Hillsdale County and since i've been with F.A.G., i've found many of the Hersha families buried in nearby cemeteries here.
If i create a memorial for your family member and you want to manage it yourself, just let me know and i'll be more than happy to transfer management to you.

Did you know this family personally?

Hi again Sally - I found another duplicate record with two nice photos posted by you. I would appreciate it if you could post the two photos to John P. Emens #9366088 at Prattville Cemetery, so the duplicate record could be deleted. Thanks.

There is a duplicate record 2008 for Fred B. Emens at Prattville Cemetery in Michigan that has a grave photo you submitted. Someone else created the duplicate. Could you add that photo to the 2004 site? Then the duplicate record could be reported. Thanks. Mary Lanning
Thank you so much for filling my photo request!

My 3rd great grandfather was buried in Ridge Cemetery near Waterloo. His son, daughter-in-law and wife are there also (with stones). Obituaries have placed Benjamin and Julana's daughter Mary and her husband Hiram in that cemetery (Ridge) although there are no markers with their names on them. Mary and Hiram (were cousins so Mary's married name is Nodine, also) had a number of little children of varying ages who died and should be buried in DeKalb County. A number of their children who grew to adulthood and had descendants are buried in the Waterloo Cemetery. Benjamin's brother Joseph was an early surveyor in DeKalb County. He was elected to coroner in 1838. Family records say he was buried in Ridge cemetery but there is no stone. If you ever run across an obituary for Joseph Nodine, keep me in mind. There may be an article in a paper about his death as well since he was found dead, apparently thrown from his horse-drawn vehicle and some thought foul-play may have been involved.

"Hi! I have been looking for the grave site of Benjamin Nodine and Juliana Nodine and their family for a long time, and I see you have created a memorial for Benjamin." I copied what Steve said because I have been looking for that information too. I am not a direct descendant, as Steve is, and don't care at all who manages the memorial but I am so please to know where Benjamin was laid to rest. Benjamin had lots of brothers (one of them was my great great great grandfather- Henry who is buried in DeKalb County, Indiana). I am very interested in the source you used to place Benjamin in this cemetery.
