After locating memorials for family members in IL on this site with the assistance of a distant relative, I decided to become a contributor. While fulfilling a photo request for a cemetery near my home around Memorial Day 2013, I noticed many graves that were not properly maintained. That experience has led me to look for cemetery opportunities to photograph for future generations.

Thank you
Thank you for this photo of my brother's memorial. Me and my siblings now live in Phoenix and have been unable to return to look after it. Thank you and God bless you.

Clayton Wills, Sr.
I got your e-mail inquiring about your maternal great grandfather, Clayton Wills, Jr. The most direct route for you to find a treasure trove of your great-great grandfather's information would be in the 1880 US Census from Exeter Precinct, Scott, Illinois. There, you will find what you are looking for. I was actually trying to piece together the dots of my family ancestry to Lafayette Wills, who was one of your great Grandfather's brothers. In any event, Clayton, Sr. was born 1 Nov 1840, in Oxville, Scott, ILL, and died 11 January 1926 in Bird Township, Macoupin, ILL. He married Jeanette Sears 12 Aug 1862 and they had 8 children, all of whom are listed below. This info is from: and has more detailed information on your ancestors. So, I'll forward it on to you. (The 7-digits are ID codes). (If you type in any of the ID codes, you will find out more about each ancestor in Hope this is helpful. Mary
