Hi, I'm Haley Amber. I was born in Portland, ME, January 3, 1995. I was introduced to history and genealogy at a young age by my father, who is very dear to me and is always my traveling buddy on our cemetery searches across Maine. Marble stones can be interesting, but we both prefer the slate stones. |
Your tombstone stands among the rest, Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out...On old gray granite stone.
It reaches out to all who care...It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist...You died...and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you...In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse...Entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled...One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left...Who would have loved you so.
I wonder when you lived and loved; I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot...And come and visit you."

Hello, would you please transfer Leonel Salisbury' s memorial over to me, he is my great grandfather. Also, could you please check and see in the spring if there is a grave marker there for his wife, my great grandmother Rowena who should be buried with him? Thank you so much. :)

Would it be possible for you to transfer John Forhan #100457377 to me? I have added many of his family on this site as his father is my direct ancestor. Thanks.
