I found my maternal grandparents' memorials on Find A Grave.
They are buried in east Texas, and I lived in western New York. I have never been to their graves.
Find A Grave Contributor Bill75773 randomly added them.
My mother had never seen the graves, either. Without Find A Grave, she probably never would have.
I became a contributor to help others in the same boat.
When I photograph a gravesite, I try to take both a plot photo and a closeup shot. I sometimes add plot photos to memorials that already have a closeup. This is not meant to imply that the first photo is not good enough. My only intent is to help future visitors to the cemetery to locate a grave they wish to visit. Also, in the caption of the photo, I usually give directions to the grave.
I invite you to visit the memorial for My Dad.

Barry, no need to transfer to me. However if you are related, I'm happy to transfer to you as she is not related to me.

Thank you so much for the John Sutton grave site photo. He is my grandmother's father, I think. She was Martha Sutton. The unfortunate part is that he was married to two "Mary's" and that has been my wall of finding out what the maiden name was of the other Mary. One was born in 1836 and the other in 1841. I continue to try and find out the correct birthdate. Ahh, the fun of genealogy. Judith
Thank you very much for taking the time to locate and photograph the Mozdzer graves. Also thank you for clearing back the military marker. The photos are excellent. Love the background. What a beautiful setting. Lillian was first cousin to my mother.

Thank you for the photos of Larry's grave site.

Barry, thank you for the photos and clear directions to the grave of my g-g grandfather James M Smith (grave 82). I hope to drive to Emory today to visit the grave. He was a young soldier in the artillery, from tidewater Virginia. Again, many thanks. - Joe Mooney, Baltimore

Thank you so very much for adding the photo to Rev. Otto Davisson's memorial. He was our pastor and friend but I live over 200 miles from this cemetery and Was not able to attend his burial. I now feel it is complete. Thanks again.
