Bio and Links
Bio Photo My life is beautiful, surrounded with beauty, the ocean, the mountains and all between. My precious family, those here and
those departed. My faith, without it I would not be here. God should be in our hearts always, so we can extend our faith to others, that they will know him. I am ashamed to admit, my faith is not always extended as should be.

Find A Grave has always been a great hobby of mine, I love to find graves, research (time permitting) and photograph. Meeting so many wonderfully great people and working with each other.

To those that feel the need to be rude, know all, shame on you, this is not what find a grave is about.

I follow all of Find a Grave guidelines, which should be read by all so there are no misunderstandings. I will gladly do transfers that fall within guidelines or certain special circumstances. Do not like those that request transfers just to add numbers. Many have over 2000 managed but have added only a few. Lots of family members???

Thanks, Helen.
That is so sweet.
I am going to Savannah, Jekyll Island and Beauford with my daughter on a bus tour in a couple of weeks. I plan to keep going, with God's help, as long as possible.
Have a wonderful Spring.
Gwen

Graham County Girl
RE: James & Emma Garrett
Last summer I photographed all of Hazie Brown and James Garrett was not there, not even a Townsend smith metal marker. Bryan Aldridge's book The Cemeteries of Graham County that was published last summer has James at Zion Hill (Native American Cemetery in Snowbird) which he states in the book is also known as The Brown Cemetery. Emma's parents are also buried there. I do not know if this is due to the fact that relatives of the Diamond Brown Family are buried there or if they owned the land. I am aware this is a private cemetery, but I spoke to Bryan last summer and he got access to even private cemeteries to do the book. He an Marshal McClung even went to random graves on the side of moumtains from the early days of Graham County. When I first looked for a Brown Cemetery when I went to make a memorial for Emma and found none on Find a Grave and that is when I researched ii and found the connection with Zion Hill.

RE: James & Emma Garrett
My understanding is that Zion Hill and Brown Cemetery are one and the same.
